"You are quite the runner despite your short legs, little mate!" He commented sizing her up with his lazor sharp eyes. His Adam apple kept moving with each word that rolled out of his mouth. "Who are you?" She asked with a frown sizing the man up, he looked dangerous, the kinds that made you really want to stay as far away as possible. "Now mate...that hit a really sour spot!" He said hand in his chest to show how hurt he was. He had been running amok for years looking for her yet she didn't even remember who he is! "I don't know what you are talking about Sir!" Maria said bowing her head to him. She could feel his wolf's presence and it didn't give her a good feeling. It was a life she had left behind and didn't want to return to it. "You sure wanna play this game? " He asked the smirk on his lips fading, playing dumb! "Fine. You started this mate... I'll help you end it." He assured her. "I vow to you, my moon!" An alpha that has everything yet nothing and a princess banished from her kingdom have been tangled in the webs of fate. The cruelty of their past has set out it's claws that'll shred them apart but what of them? Is Marianne willing to face her demons and own up to her reality or will she keep running away. After that day, Marianne was once again drowned in loneliness as no one came to see her again. Not even Laurence came again. She bit her lip bitterly as she looked at the door expectantly.
Her ears perked up at the sound of footsteps. She immediately sat up and tamed her her unruly hair. She gulped nervously since she could pick on different footsteps approaching her room.
Her father was here?! She was so happy! She couldn't wait to see him and apologize!.
The door was thrown open and the maid servant walked in with a group of elders. Behind them was her father and brothers who all had solemn looks.
Marianne's heart thumped crazily in her chest as she felt suffocated by every body's presence. Her eyes fell on her father and she opened her mouth to call him.
"We are here to announce the final decision of all pack elders concerning Princess Marianne Moonclaw's eligibility to Alpha blood." The elder spoke stopping her crom calling her father.
She looked at the elders. These men had pampered her all childhood and loved her alot!. She was also a good Princess and never disrespected or angered any of them!
Marianne Moonclaw, do you have any objections?" the elder added ignoring her lost and broken look.
She shook her head. From the looks of it, her father was ready to find out the truth, how could she object?!
Elder Damon signalled for the pack nurse who walked forward.
"I'll be taking your blood Princess." she said softly and Marianne let her. Her eyes were on her father.
All that belonged to the Alpha's bloodline in the room stepped forward and had their blood drawn and stored in small containers.
The nurse moved and placed a transparent glass container where everyone could see and carried over a special chest. All the elders looked at the chest in awe as they had heard of it in tales.
Marianne had also heard of this chest. Inside it stood the last tear drops of the Moon goddess herself.
This method was used by their ancestors to determine the legitimacy of those in the Alpha's bloodline and the wolf royal blood was saved from being implicated.
The existence of this precious liquid brought war among the werewolves as many longed to have it. After that war, it was said that the chest had been lost and the goddess's tears w were also lost which was indeed true!
However, the legends of the Moonclaw pack stated that the first Alpha had been a kind and generous person. The moon goddess was pleased with him and granted him her tears. The matter had gone down in alot of generations and it came a time where others thought it was a mere myth!
Who knew it was true?
The nurse poured a potion of the goddess's tears onto the flat surfaces container and gathered the different blood samples of the Alpha, his sons and Marianne.
The Alpha's blood was the first to be poured into the goddess's tears, followed by Marcus's, then Martin. Lastly was Mariannes'.
Everyone's breathe was held as they looked on.
Tears begun to fall as Marianne felt like she knew the outcome. Her mother always told her the truth, she wouldn't lie to her in her last moments because she loved her so much!
Unlike the Alpha and his son's blood that fused together, Marianne's blood drew and drifted away from theirs.
Everyone's mouth fell open They had expected this but it was different when it was right before them.
All eyes shifted to Marianne.
She couldn't stand their gazes and lowered her eyes as her body trembled.
The colour of their blood was not only of very different shades, it even couldn't fuse.
"This is a serious matter! The Luna betrayed us!" one of the elders couldn't hold himself back. He roared angrily.
Right! She has abused her title as Luna of the Moonclaw pack! She shouldn't have been lain in the royal graveyard!" another added.
SILENCE!!!" The Alpha let out a growl that had the elders tuck their tails between their legs.
They had a say in the Pack's matters but not against the Alpha himself.
On behalf of the royal bloodline running through my son's veins, I'll pardon the Luna for her actions and let her rest in the royal graveyard." Alpha Moonclaw's voice resonated in the room with determination and coldness that could chill someone to the bone. No one dared to speak as they all patiently waited for his next words.
He shifted his eyes and looked at the sickly girl on the bed. "Someone must bare the punishment for the dead." he added and all the elders nodded in unison. That was fair enough!
Marianne bit her lower lip to keep the sob that had been stuck in her throat from escaping.
"Marianne Moonclaw is hereby stripped of her title as Princess of the Moonclaw pack. She'll be demoted to an omega for the time being to figure out her real rank as we let the Alpha aura surrounding her desolve. The elders council will later on decide a suitable punishment for deceiving the pack. Her name will be written off the Alpha bloodline and she'll loose the name Moonclaw!"
With every word that the Alpha spoke, Marianne felt her chest tighten as she took deadly jabs at the last remaining of her lifeline. Her sobs were no longer controlled as she cried bitterly.
"Father!" She cried out to him. "I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!!" she pleaded but the Alpha had turned stone cold.
He had promised himself that no matter what, this was the girl he had raised for years but his wolf that had taken control from him for the last few days put the last nail in the coffin that sealed Marianne's fate.
Marianne crawled out of her bed and tried to reach for her father but he avoided her like plaque. Even her brothers didn't know how to feel about this matter. Martin wanted to step out and defend her but with his father's wolf in control, he'd be asking to meet his mother sooner! He lowered his head in shame.

Five years later.
Marianne sat staring at the busy street through the glass wall before her in a daze. The memories from five years threw her off balance every single time like she was reliving each passing moment.
She went into shock and her body begun trembling from the nightmares she had lived. Her teeth chattered like it was freezing cold despite the hot summer outside and her neck became taut as she fought to bring herself back! She really couldn't loose herself again!
A tag at her shirt saved her. She shuddered as her whole body trembled. Her black eyes that had gone blank slowly and gradually regained their life.
It took her a while to calm down and when she looked at the person that had tagged at her shirt, she saw a small girl with two ponytails on each side of her head. They were dressed on wrongly and she had come to complain to her mother.
But the little princess saw her mother's state, she forgot about her grievances and held onto her with concern dancing in her small innocent eyes. She hardly held herself back from crying!
Marianne, now Maria Moon felt her heart melt looking at her little queen's concerned eyes. She went down to fit her height and cooed. "Did mommy scare you?" She lifted the small girl off the ground.
The little queen shook her head. [ How could she be scared! She lived to protect her mother!] She reached out her hand and gently placed it on her mother's soft cheek. [ I won't let big monsters scare you mommy] she vowed.
The nightmares that were eating at her soul seemed to run off a billion kilometres from her side. She smiled and laughed. "Of course! My Queen will protect mommy!" Maria was satisfied with her daughter. She peppered kisses all over her cheeks leaving the small girl blushing like a ripe tomato on her plump face.
Little Queen received her mother's love and kisses helplessly. If she didn't, her mother would cry! Sigh!!
Maria forgave her sweet daughter and spared her. She carried the small doll in her hands over to the sofa in the sitting room and sat her on the coffee table. "I noticed your ponytails are crooked. Let mommy set them right for you!" She said as she reached for her daughter's hair to set it firm. " Did Killian and V make it?" She asked as she tied on of the pony tails.
Little Queen nodded her head. She was lucky to escape her brothers assault! She wasn't ready to sue them as she couldn't bare to do that to her big brothers. They were already a gone case. She didn't wish for trouble to break out in the prisons.
The door to Queen's room shot open banging hard against the wall.
Marianne frowned and looked at her unruly sons. However, from the moment she heard the sound and the time she looked over, the two boys, the same age as the girl despite being slightly bigger than her were already as calm as the sea.
They were nicely dressed in their black tuxedos and had their hair combed back neatly.
Yet they couldn't help their sister dress as presentably as them!
The two little gentlemen looked at their mother with smirking eyes. [ What?]
Mariannes' lip twitched. She smiled. "Good morning! Breakfast is ready. We should hurry lest we are late!" She said to her small family.
They moved and each went to their respective tables to dine before they left for work.

It was the year when she was a few months from turning seventeen that her life was tossed off the path she had hoped and dreamed of. She had tried to survive the backlash of her identity being revealed in the pack and the life of an omega. She had done her best to endure!
She hoped to regain her honour on the night she first shifted but even that didn't come. She was called names, like a curse, a jinx, and a bastard but her family for the past sixteen years only looked on.
They watched as she was pushed off the cliff by the pack members.
The shifting ceremony that was attended by different packs gathered thousands of new shifters and an Alpha's son from another pack had asked her 'father' for her hand in marriage to which both her brothers agreed on her behalf.
But who knew, just when she hoped for a new life, it also shattered. Not only did she not manage to shift, she also woke up the next morning and she had been used by someone she completely had no idea about.
Her father couldn't stand the shame and embarrassment Marianne brought and chased her out of the pack that very morning.
Her promise to marry was also broken and like that, she was discarded.
