"C'mon! Let's keep searching! Vanilla must be buried somewhere around here!"

"That kid... Tell me something, dog, is she always like that? Wait. I found something."

"What? I am smelling her!"

"Vanilla? Vanilla! Wake up!" She felt as if an elephant got off from her body, and the light of the luminous fungi filtrated through her eyelids.

She opened her eyes. Lancelot, Witzy, and Rowie surrounded her, among the boulders, rocks, and other stone debris that made the place look like a demolition dumpster.

Lancelot and Rowie moved more rocks away from her body, unburying her from that premature tomb. It smelled like nothing but dust, rocks, and wet dirt.

She coughed and sat up with the help of Lancelot. He put off his scorpion helmet and Rowie wagged his tail, hopping closer to her.
