Shock
Ruby stood there in Rudy's arms without putting her own arms around him. But it seemed like he did not even notice that she was not returning his hugs. He just kept holding her in that tight embrace as his life depended on it.
"You do not know how much I have longed for this day, Ruby... I have thought-"
"Rudy.." Ruby muttered, interrupting what he was saying.
But he did not hear her as he continued to talk, "I have thought about this day for so long. I have dreamed about it... played it through in my head a million times. I did not even know that you were still alive, Ruby..." Ruby said as he finally let go and held her in front of him so that he could see her properly.
She had a smug look on her face but it went unnoticed to Rudy.
"What are you doing here? Are you hiding?" Rudy asked with his brows creased. "We should go back to the kingdom... people think you are dead. I do not want-'
"Rudy!"
