"If that is all then, we will take our leave now. See you soon." Ryan said to the shareholders before holding onto Aurora, he pulled her with him and they left from there. Aurora let Ryan pull her with him, she was still recovering from the shock of what she said and how she made herself look brave.
Ryan did not bother to spare Aurora a glance once there were back in the car. "Drive to the hospital." He ordered his men and they immediately drove away from there.
Through the window of the conference room, Collins stared at the car drive away from the company. His expression was sour like a lemon, he had not expected the tables to be turned on him so soon. "Boss we are sorry! We could not stop them from ruining your moment." The two men who had been lying on the ground sat up and began pleading with their heads bowed down.
Collins snickered at both men, he raised his left and kicked their chins. "You both are useless pieces of trash, get out of my sight," Collins yelled and walked away from there.
In no time the group of four people got to the hospital, Aurora gazed at the large hospital before her eyes. It has always been her dream to work as a doctor in the hospital but her dream was ruined before it could be realized. She turned her head away from the building and faced the other side to minimize the pain in her heart.
"You are going to meet your grandfather, make sure to behave well and do not try any tricks with him. He is a sharp old man and can notice any error you make, make an error and I will make sure you are thrown out the window straight down to your death." Ryan said in a grim voice and Aurora nodded her head.
They proceeded to get out of the car and into the hospital, Zion asked the receptionist for the room number and it was given to them. Every one of them got into the elevator with Aurora standing at the back and the three men standing in front of her.
"Boss, what should be done about Mr. Collins? I am sure he won't rest till he gets to the bottom of this, he may try to find out if Miss Aurora is Miss Avery and may dig into the incident that took place a month ago." Zale remarked with his hand behind his back like in a military stance.
"Zion gets someone to monitor his every movement, he might be the missing link we are looking for. Zale monitors the other extended members of the family and keeps an eye on her record, making sure it does not get out." Ryan said and both men nodded their heads.
Aurora stood at the back silently listening to their conversation, she had nothing to keep her busy as her cell phone was taken away from her by Ryan. Aurora mustered up the courage to ask him if she could get her phone back.
"No." Before Aurora even asked Ryan said no, his two men gazed at the back to see if anyone had said something.
"I wanted to ask... can I get my phone back? My mother will be very worried about me and my friend too, they both have not heard from me in a month. Please." Aurora pleaded her voice coming out very softly.
"No, you can't," Ryan responded not changing his initial answer.
"Please, I am begging you please." Aurora pleaded her eyes turning a little moist.
Ryan turned around in a spin and cornered her on the elevator wall, "You seem to have a problem understanding everything I say, let me repeat this."
"Aurora is dead and no more ALIVE. You are Avery and not Aurora and that means you can't contact your parents because you do not have them, Avery's parents died when she was ten years old."
"Ask me anything to upset me again and I will throw you to the oceans and give you to the sharks to feed on you," Ryan emphasized his point before turning away from her.
Aurora stood behind and did not say anything till they got to the hospital room, Aurora put on a smile by herself knowing that was what was required of her. Ryan placed his hand on her waist and led her into the room while Zion and Zale stood outside.
The beeping of the monitor in the silent ward was what welcomed Ryan and Aurora into the room, Ryan's eyes fell on the man gazing at the ceiling of the room.
"Grandfather."
"Grandfather." Ryan and Aurora called out at the same time and the man turned his feeble eyes towards them.
"Avery? Is that you,my girl?" The old man whispered with a little excitement in his voice but it was heard by the two people.
Aurora stood still till Ryan pushed her found to the bed, Aurora glanced back at him and the deadly warning on his face make her take in a deep breath.
"Grandfather. Yes, it's me, Avery, I am an okay grandfather." Aurora muttered sitting on the bed, her kind heart melted seeing the old man laying so weakly on the bed.
"You are alright my girl, I am so happy you are okay. I thought you died and left me alone in this world like your parents did, oh my girl I am so happy." The old man said trying to seat up on the bed and hug Aurora but Aurora held him back.
"Grandfather please rest, you don't have to exert yourself. Get well and let's play together soon like old times." Aurora said with a smile and the old man nodded his head in contentment.
Ryan stepped closer to the pair and places his hand on Aurora's shoulder to show her she did good work. "Grandfather I would like to give you some good news, you will be so happy to hear this," Ryan remarked and the old man turned towards him.
"Ryan my Boy, what do you want to share with me?" The old man inquired.
Ryan pulled Aurora to stand up and placed his hands around her, "Avery and I have decided to get married."
