47. The Cove.

Three days later on the day of Mr Xiao's funeral, Xiao Juhan stood in front of his memorial tablet as he burnt insense for him.

"We didn't get to reconcile they way you wanted... but I just booked a flight for abroad. I'm going to New York. I'll travel the world the way you wanted to do with me. Mother wants to stay her with you no matter how much I persuade her. I'll be sure to be safe dad. Goodbye."

He bows three times before turning to his mother and Wang Kai who had his luggage. He kissed his mother goodbye before leaving for the airport.

Meanwhile, Zhong Hu got the message from Wang Kai about Xiao Juhan's departure. He looked at Song Mimi who patiently waited with Zhou Sheng.

"Ms Song, Xiao Juhan just left the country."

She turned to him getting up to leave as Zhou Sheng followed her to the entrance of the company.

"Your mission is back on. But until then, I want you to meet some people."

Two cars arrived in front of the building as two men got off separately.

"Song Mimi, you finally told her about it. About time already."

Song Mimi looked at Lin Yi who leaned against his car looking at Zhou Sheng.

"That's Lin Yi and also my head designer for JM Jewels, the speedster and that's Chu Beiji, he possess the power of levitation."

She turns to Zhou Sheng who was standing still awkwardly.

"Song Mimi, you just said everything in front of Zhong Hu."

Song Mimi turns to Zhong Hu who stands there with a slight smile before turning to Zhou Sheng.

"Until now you only know I'm as a secretary of JM jewels. But he's actually the one who keeps all our traces covered. Zhong Hu knows everything about us."

Zhou Sheng looks at him shocked as they had been gossip buddies since she arrived in Beijing and yet he didn't bother to tell her about that.

"Don't get me wrong buddy. If it wasn't Ms Song's will to tell you then I couldn't do anything about it."

Zhong Hu said making Zhou Sheng feel even more betrayed by him.

"Alright. You guys go back to the Villa first. I have to speak to the heir of GongMeng group. The girls can't get involved in our matters."

Zhong Hu nods getting the door for her as she got in the driver's seat and drove away.

Meanwhile in Feng Nangxin's house, he kept on punching a man even when his hand was bleeding and his bones clearly exposed. The strangers face completely disfigured beyond recognition as he finally stopped. He looked at his hand as a glowing bright yellow light healed his wound.

"You're a monster. You and all the other six of you are monster. The Cove is gonna get you and we're gonna massacre you in a way you can't even heal."

"It was a mistake for you to find out about our abilities. And you'll go to your graves keeping that secret. Even if your Cove finds me, the remaining six are impossible to find cause I have no knowledge of their whereabouts. You crossed the line when you didn't give me the power I wanted. And that's why you must die as an example to your people."

He picks a hammer and smashes his head off his body aggressively.

Meanwhile, at a five star cafe, Song Mimi sat with Gong Siye as they drank coffee.

" Your taste is indeed exceptional Ms Song. I must say, you picked a very special place. I must say I didn't think you'd agree to it so soon."

"I wouldn't agree to it either way if I didn't need someone to take care of them. They have a bright future and I wouldn't want my horrible past to hunt them for the rest of their lives. GongMeng seems promising and I'm also proposing an investment of fifty million dollars for my girls if you'd agree to it, I will deposite it into your account right away."

Gong Siye smiled by her proposal as she clearly didn't lack anything offering fifty million dollars soo easily.

"Wouldn't JM be losing a lot in this case?"

He asked her as it seemed to him, she didn't know how to handle money. Song Mimi on the other hand sat down comfortable as ever putting her cup of coffee down.

"JM is a company worth billions and just fifty million won't pull it down by any means, after all, it's not the one investing in you..."

Gong Siye looked at her confused by the words she just uttered. Who could be offering such huge amount of money which his company was worth?

"... I'm investing personally as Song Mimi and not in place of my company. And since you've agreed to it, then it should be sent right away."

She said taking her phone and after a call, Gong Siye received a call from his secretary.

"What happened?"

"Well sir... someone just invested in our company worth... fifty million sir."

Gong Siye was dumbfounded and turned to the woman in front of him sipping her coffee calmly as fifty million was just a drop in the bucket for her. He quickly regained his composure as he hung up.

"You're a natural born leader, I can't argue with that. You can send your girls over. I'll personally take care of them."

Song Mimi smiled as she placed the cup down taking her phone.

"That's too kind of you. But I assure you they can take care of themselves. I've already arranged the apartment for them and my assistant will be sure to keep me informed about their well-being. Don't bother too much."

She got up to leave as Gong Siye looked at her wondering how a woman like her could be born with such willing power.

She got in her car as the driver drove away with Zhong Hu sitting in front as he handed over the tablet to her.

"Ms Song another dead body was found today. This is the nineth body found so far and the bodies all seem to be related to an organization called the Cove."

"How am I to be concerned about them?"

"Ms Song... actually they... investigate things supernatural."

She looked at him before looking back at the tablet and swiped to the next page only to find something disturbing... another trouble on her shoulders.
