Conqueror of Magic

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.

"Okay Arthur, this is your second period teacher, Mr. Steven, now try to get along with him," said Egris before leaving the two to interact together.

"Uh, hi?" Arthur said as he didn't know how to start a conversation with his teacher.

"Hello Arthur, I'll be your artifact mastery teacher, I presume you've already come into contact with an artifact already?" Steven said to which Arthur nodded as he cast a spell to open his storage void where he kept nearly all his things. After doing so, he took out the blade that he received from the competition he won and showed it to his teacher.

"Oh wow, that's quite the blade. Let me guess, this was the award at the country colosseum contest?" Steven asked to which Arthur nodded before handing over the blade to his teacher.

"Wow, it's even more beautiful up close. Although I should have expected something like this from a blade that would be given to the winner of such a great battle. Anyway, it would be better to just show you how to use these types of blades instead of telling you about them since it'll help you understand," said Steven before giving the blade back to Arthur.

"Try to swing it around," said Steven which confused Arthur as he saw no point in that however he did as he was told as he didn't have any reason to question his teacher.

As Arthur swung his blade, nothing special happened. The blade just did as any normal blade would have.

"Let me ask you Arthur, do you believe this is the best that you can accomplish with you blade?" Steven asked while taking the blade from Arthur.

"Well, ya? I mean all there is about a blade is how sharp it is and how much force you swing it with right?" Arthur asked to which Steven began to laugh.

"No no, that's just what the average person would say. I'm surprised you don't even know the basics of artifacts and yet you're so strong. Nevertheless, let me show you," said Steven as he pointed the blade in the air before slowly bringing the sword downward. However as he did this, a line of red aura began to appear where the blade had been previously. Seeing this left Arthur speechless as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He had seen it once before when he was swinging around Excalibur however Arthur just believed that it was special to that blade and that blade alone. More than that, he had never seen the aura of a blade being so balanced as the red aura simply stayed in the air.

"I see that you seem to be enjoying the show. If you think that this is cool, look closely at what I'm about to do next," said Steven as he placed his palm forward and as he did that, the aura began to move forward as if he was directing it. Soon after, he parted his four fingers into 2 pairs which caused the aura to split in two. Even after that, to push himself further, Steven split all of his fingers which caused the aura to break into 5 parts which Steven caused to fly around all on their own and in different directions. Arthur could only watch as Steven managed to do this.

"Wow! How do you do that?" Arthur asked to which Steven gave back the blade before telling Arthur to point the blade forward.

"Close your eyes and slowly imagine yourself giving off a part of you soul towards your blade and slowly bring the blade downwards as you do that," said Steven to which Arthur followed his orders however he still couldn't accomplish the task that he was given. As such, Arthur looked rather upset at what had happened. Even so, Steven simply gave him a gentle pat on the back before telling him it was all right and there was no reason for him to feel pressured to get something right the first time he attempts it.

"I mean even for a genius like him, this must be hard since he's never done it before. At least I've found a weak point that I can nurture to have him bloom into a beautiful sorcerer," Steven thought to himself while watching Arthur attempt it one last time. However this time, Arthur managed to create a portion of aura to appear before it once again disappeared. Seeing this, Steven began to clap loud and fast with his hands as Arthur had made a lot of progress in such a short amount of time.

"Why do you look so surprised?" Arthur asked to which Steven began to stutter as he couldn't express how proud he was.

"Even for the most talented individuals, something like this at least takes them a week. However you managed to do this in just a day," said Steven before Arthur gave him a confused look and while looking at Steven, he swung his hand to live his blade downward and managed to make a straight line appear in front of him full of aura.

"I thought so, I really thought that I had a grasp of it the last time but it looks like all it took was just one more good push. Thank you so much for that lesson," said Arthur to which Steven was simply on the ground while giving a defeated face.

"That move alone took me half a year to master and now he's able to do it in just a day? How nice it must feel to be born being the favourite of the universe," said Steven to himself as Arthur seemed to be more confused than ever.

"What's wrong Arthur? Do you feel all right? Maybe this is taking a-lot more energy out of you than you anticipated," said Steven before Arthur moved his hand in random directions which caused the aura to split into 10 even sections which Arthur controlled to move all around the classroom which was a big empty lecture room which Arthur and his teacher shared much like doctor Rosie's classroom.
