----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.
Over the next few days, Arthur and Willam continued to have their usual sparring matches so that Arthur could increase the speed of his reflexes as well as learn some techniques which might have been useful for him. However even after 5 whole days of this, Arthur wasn't progressing as fast as he had wanted to. This was a problem as Arthur wanted to return back to the competition that Yosel was waiting for him at in about a day or two. As such, Arthur decided to take a more risky approach. The night of the 5th day at the prison, Arthur closed his eyes and started to relax as he needed to talk to Lucifer.
"What brings you here?" Lucifer asked in a confused tone to which Arthur began to talk in an awkward way as he needed to get a favour from Lucifer.
"I was wondering…" Arthur began to speak before Lucifer interrupted him.
"No," Lucifer replied without even a second thought.
"But you didn't even give me a chance to speak," said Arthur which caused Lucifer to let out a disappointed sigh.
"I already know what you're here for. You're here to ask me to enhance your eyesight so that you can understand and take the techniques that Willam uses so that you can make them you own," said Lucifer in a bored voice.
"So what? You've been helping me this entire time so why can't you do it this time?" Arthur asked to which Lucifer began to laugh.
"I've never once helped you out of my own free will. My job is to make sure that you don't die because if you die, I will have to look for another vessel to take over which is dangerous for me now more than ever because the previous council of sorcery is looking for me. As such, I'm picking the safest option for myself," said Lucifer.
"You're literally using my body, you could at least be kind to me every once in a while," said Arthur to which Lucifer began to laugh at him more than ever.
"I don't care. I'm Lucifer, I'm the literal devil, why would I want to help anyone? I only care for myself and I do what I want," Lucifer replied which made Arthur grit his teeth before waking up in a bad mood.
…
"What's wrong? You seem rather down today," said Willam to which Arthur replied that he was okay and just didn't get enough sleep as the two of them walked out on the field and Willam began to take shots at Arthur.
"Forget about Lucifer, this is your battle. You can't rely on anyone but yourself. Now, look at every single move he makes. Analyze, understand, and then make it your own," Arthur told himself as he watched Willam's punch coming to the right side of him as if it was in slow motion. Seeing that, Arthur moved his own left hand and managed to counter it before he eventually got hit on the other side due to Willam punching him on the other side as well. Even so, Arthur had done something spectacular.
He had managed to detect and block an attack from Willam.
"Wow, that was spectacular, how did you even do that?" Willam asked to which Arthur let out an awkward giggle before setting his eyes back on Willam as the two of them continued their session. By the end of the day, Arthur had managed to block or dodge 3 of Willam attacks.
"Looks like you've made a ton of progress, even so, you still seem disappointed," said Willam in an overjoyed mood as the two walked back to their cell.
"Why is that?" Willam asked.
"Well, I was hoping to block or dodge a whole lot more than 3 in a single day," Arthur said as he just wanted to train more and more. However right as Willam had heard what Arthur said, he began to laugh so loud that everyone else in the prison could hear it.
"Can you two shut up?! Some of us are actually trying to sleep here!" a person yelled out after being annoyed at how happy Willam and Arthur were all the time even though they were inside the most secure prison in the entire world which housed some of the worst criminals from the entire planet.
"Oh, it looks like we've made someone mad, wanna go see who it is?" Willam asked with a smile to which everyone began to tremble in fear as even though Willam looked overjoyed, he was clearly mad that someone dared to challenge him.
As such, Willam opened the cell's bars by force and walked out of there to greet the person who had yelled at him.
Willam knew everyone by their voice and as such was able to track the person who had dared to speak up to him.
"Here we are," said Willam as he stopped in front of a cell which only had one person in it.
"Please sir Willam, he's new here. He didn't know it was you," said a person from another prison out of sheer pity at what was going to happen to the new prisoner.
"Relax, I won't be the one disciplining him, it'll be Arthur," said Willam to which the prisoner who was trying to defend the new prisoner let out a sigh of relief.
"You should know though, Arthur is actually physically stronger than me," said Willam which brought a whole new fear into the neighbouring prisoner. If anyone else had said it, he wouldn't have believed a single word however Willam was known not to lie ever. As such, what he said was true.
"Are you two the ones that were making all that noise?! If so, just watch what I'll do to you when I get my hands on you," said the giant man which looked to be made out of 100% muscle as he tried to scare Willam as well as Arthur.
"Don't worry, you don't have to wait until tomorrow to do that, let's do this right now," said Willam as he used his bare hands to break open the cell with a bright grin on his face.
