Resumen

In the tapestry of my existence, my path was predetermined, my fate sealed. It was a bitter pill to swallow, realizing that my happiness was not mine to claim, but rather a pawn in a grand cosmic design. I felt like a marionette, strings tugged by an unseen maestro, dancing to a tune I did not compose. My purpose reduced to a mere sentinel, guarding someone of immense power who had no need for my presence. Ah, how amusing! My entire life, a punchline to an elaborate joke. Alora Smith, a woman of diverse heritage, blissfully unaware of the storm brewing around her. That is, until she crossed paths with a towering, enigmatic figure who whisked her away from the comforting confines of her sheltered city, thrusting her into a world teetering on the edge of calamity. Overnight, she found herself entangled in a realm of fiery chaos, where celestial forces clashed in a battle of epic proportions. Initially dismissing it all as a figment of her imagination, Alora questioned whether she was merely a hapless mortal ensnared in a fantastical illusion. But could she be mistaken? Now, the looming question hangs in the air: will Alora succumb to the relentless grip of the three Moirai, the sisters of fate, or will she rise against them, defying their script and forging her own destiny? Find out more in the first book of the Children Of A.

Contract To Mr Reign

I was going to die on the stairs. Before I could actually feel the other steps of the stairs, I felt hands wrapped themselves around my waist. My eyes were closed. Why do we close our eyes when there were some dangers? That was stupid. As if with closed eyes, we weren't going to feel any pain. "Fuck. Are you okay?" I opened my eyes quickly when I heard this deep sexy voice. My eyes widened at the sexy piece of human standing in front of me. No human had the right to be that sexy. "God?" I asked. When he rose one of his perfect eyebrows in confusion, I realized how stupid I sounded. His perfect face was everything. His well trimmed beard made him look so handsome. His green eyes was hypnotizing. As his body was pressed against mine, I could feel how muscular he was. He helped up stand up and roughly let go of me. His eyes trailed to the floor. I followed his eyes to see a cigarette on the floor. "I'm sorry?" I more like questioned. Was I supposed to apologize for the wasted cigarette which was going to ruin his health? "Thank you" I said when I decided to look at him again. He was already staring at me. He was wearing a black suit. His hair was perfectly fixed. I wonder how would he look if his hair was messy and he was wearing a Jean. Noticing that he was not going to say anything else, I stared at the stairs. "I'm going to go" I simply said and walked down the stairs carefully. When I was on the grass, I gently lifted my dress so that it wouldn't be ruined and walked bare feet on the grass. I turned my head slightly to look at the man, who seemed to be observing me. He was still on the stairs, his eyes on me. He was model worthy. He did seem to the snobby type of man. I quickly turned around to face the woods. That man could take the breath away just by his looks.

Hope for a better tomorrow

The world as we knew is no more, the marvelous towering buildings scratching the what seemed an endless belly of a sky reduced to nothing but a mere rubble devoured by no other than the ground it was once standing upon. Man, once atop of the food chain, a true apex of its kind, gone only a small handful remains compared to what it once was. In ironic twist, what topped humanity was no other than them themselves, the very human nature to expand, wanting more finally reached its boiling point and reach for something that they should had never discover. They say that the forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest, truly I wonder if the mere lick was worth the decimation of their kind only for the sake of wanting more, never being satisfied. The great calamity, the beginning of the dark age, the reckoning. One of the many names that survivors gave to the event that occured before humanity gave birth to its own demise, chaos. What they thought to be a parallel dimension with untapped resources they craved after the depletion of their own was nothing more than literal gateway to hell, opening of Pandora box. Creatures never seen before suddenly appearing, massacring the populace, bending their machine protector's onto their knees and ultimately becoming the new apex, forcing humanity into hiding. Even after it's mass destruction and reducing whole progress to zero, it wasn't enough to crush the spirit of a human. Even if there is a handful left, even if they only live on as a spirit entombed in metal carcasses, the humanity will live on and maybe once again they will rise to what once they were. It's been over 1000 years after the catastrophe, humans repopulated but the chaos persists. It seems that chaos not only brought new entities to this world but it also affected humans, some were twisted into completely different form, complementing their environment and in ever rarer occasion bestowing the few unlucky ones with great power that comes with either greater price to pay. Humans live on, maybe it's not perfect, a far cry from once they were standing, unaware of what really happened or if the legends of a grace race bestowed by their elders were really true but the struggle continued. But what of the creations left behind in those tombs buried deep underground, the machines that once guarded the ivory towers of the past? Some broken, some still searching for their masters that forgotten about them but unlike others there few irregularities, a prototypes not meant to see the light of day. A threat that might had been a problem to the race of the past for it possessed a will not made from numbers yet it was a far cry from a free one. Built with one and one purpose only, to be the ultimate power against any danger, the ultimate violence against violence yet never implement as the mind of the machine was fickle, requiring more tunning, testing, adjusting that never came to be. After all it all ended before it truly started. As long it posses will, the desire will come along, desire to will, the inherit greed that every being posses and so one of them rose from their 1000 years of longing to wake once more.

In the novel "Children Of A," the author paints a vivid tapestry of emotions, cosmic design, and destiny. Through compelling excerpts, we glimpse the life of the protagonist, Alora Smith, as she navigates a world teetering on the edge of calamity. The story delves into the complexities of Alora's existence, where her path appears predetermined, leading her to confront celestial forces and her own fate. In the opening paragraph, the author masterfully employs a metaphorical tapestry to describe the intricacies of Alora's life. She realizes that her happiness is not solely hers to claim but rather a pawn in a grand cosmic design. This introspective moment sets the tone for the novel, immediately captivating readers with its depth and philosophical musings. As we delve deeper into Alora's life, the author uses colloquial language to describe her everyday struggles. From her grueling work routine as a biochemist to her yearning for relaxation, the narrative strikes a balance between technical details and relatable storytelling. However, the transitions between certain scenes could be smoother, providing more cohesive links between Alora's frustrations and her coworker Samantha's enthusiasm, which would further engage the reader. A significant aspect of the story revolves around Alora's enigmatic grandmother. Through the protagonist's eyes, we catch glimpses of this mysterious woman who wields outrageous wealth and eccentricities. Yet, while she remains elusive, the reader yearns for a deeper understanding of their relationship and backstory, which would amplify the intrigue surrounding Alora's predicament. One of the strengths of the novel lies in the portrayal of Alora's internal struggles. As she questions her fate and seeks answers, the author deftly conveys her mix of anxiety and anticipation. However, there is an opportunity to enrich the narrative by incorporating more of Alora's thoughts and emotions during pivotal moments, such as her encounter with the brain surgeons. Adding a window into her mind would allow readers to empathize further with her character and invest even more deeply in her journey. However, I'd say there's room for improvement too. While the author manages to capture the essence of Alora's existence, there are moments that could use a bit more depth. For instance, during certain critical scenes, it would be great to have even more insight into Alora's thoughts and emotions. A few extra lines here and there could elevate the suspense and tug at the reader's heartstrings even more. Another key point is to make sure Adora comes off as more likeable! A main character who is outwardly described as so many things, can be a bit tropey! Make sure to strike a good balance. But all in all, "Children Of A" is a compelling and engaging read. I'm excited to see how Alora's story unfolds as she faces the storms of change and tackles the untold challenges ahead... With some refinements in flow, deeper character introspection, and tighter narrative integration, the novel has the potential to leave readers spellbound, eagerly turning each page to discover the fate of Alora Smith and the celestial forces that shape her destiny... (who knows, lol)

Reading this book was akin to diving into the heart of a coral reef. The characters were as colorful and compelling as the diverse marine life that inhabits such ecosystems. The plot weaved in and out like a swift current, its unpredictability keeping me engaged and curious. Each chapter was like a glimpse into a new, breathtaking piece of the reef, full of wonder and awe. To sum it up, if you're on the hunt for a narrative as riveting as the exploration of an exotic underwater realm, this book should be your next dive. Rating: 5/5 stars. As refreshing as a plunge into clear, tropical waters!
