After the fight, Connor passed out for almost a week, Ariel told Alice that there are two reasons for that.

One: Physical and mental Exhaustion due to her using his body over the limit as well the grief on all the souls that he consumed.

Two: After his body was pushed beyond its limit and got saturated with mana it's now trying to evolve.

He is a humanoid after all, not a monster that is restricted by levels.

At that time Kinryuu also came and stopped by, explaining his absence.

"I needed to track Xaviin's true Phylactery location, for that I needed to stay away and watch!" He said.

It seems the left Xaviin live for the time being and brought us massive wealth as compensation. It's seems will be getting the same amount next year's too, Alice thought it was better to have him pay reparations and the expenses of the journey to revive Lydia than just killing him.

Kinryuu did stick around saying that he will take a vacation leaving the mapping to his college.

In the Eric Mansion, The private section where Alice has put Connor to rest, A maid was doing her work cleaning just a few rooms away from Connor's.

Suddenly she felt a massive pressure on her, Barely able to breathe as she tried her best to remain standing. It was as her lungs suddenly stooped working! She knows this feeling, in the past, she was in bluemill and felt when a certain golden dragon came by... She never used magic in her life but she could tell what direction the pressure is coming from, The Hero's Room! Suddenly the pressure dramatically Increased, she fell on her knees, unable to breathe and sweating a bucketload.

The pressure stooped after a few seconds, she laid on the ground breathing heavily.

Something Immense is in the hero's room, a monster so strong that she almost died by just being near him! Even if it seemed like a stupid idea, she wanted to check the room.

She mustered all her strength to stand up and walk toward the door. The door was well oiled up to not make any noise, because this was the hero's room and he needed to get a comfortable sleep, such were Alice's orders!

As she pushed, The door silently opened. She looked inside and saw no monster.

The hero was sitting on the bed, just woken up!!

He turned and looked at her in the eyes, a deep blue glimmer in them.

"Where am I? What happens to the fight?" Connor asked.

"I...I will call Alice-sama!" She said.

Vanessa jumped from the shadows of a table at the corner of the room.

"Connor, Are you alright?!" She was wearing a black and white maid uniform, looking kinda exhausted.

"Just a bit hungry, thanks for asking!" Connor replied with a slight giggle.

Even though I just woke up I don't feel sleepy at all, guess I slept more than enough!

"We left some clothes in the drawers, come I will help you change," Vanessa said but Connor shook his head and refused.

"I know how to wear clothes, for some time I even did it as a job! go find me some food if can instead, something light and easy to swallow will be preferable if you please!" He guided Vanessa to the door, then closed it.

Opening the drawer he found his clothes, for a moment he didn't understand how he can wear them, some belts tie behind his back while the other needed to be put in a weird order, If he didn't have Ariel giving his instruction made from Alice memories he would have had to call Vanessa back!

Damn! how did they make those things? With this muck extra layers and weird design, Cosplays are easier to wear!

No sh*t! I prefer the commoners one, was this Alice's Idea? I should probably introduce them to suits in this case!

After he finished Connor washed his face using water magic and dried it with wind magic, he then walked out of the room looking for something to eat.

The entire place was bustling like a bee nest, everyone running around.

Did something big happen? He though.

Following his nose, he located the kitchen, The smell of burning wood and the boiling soup was easy to notice with the help of draconic senses, Ariel also guided him with the mini-map.

No one seemed to notice him, or at least give him attention as they were busy running around!

He entered the kitchen and looked around, multiple cooks are moving left and right in what looked almost like a scene from the famous kitchen H*ll!

"Move you're in the way!" a man carrying a pot of hot water screamed at him.

"Sorry!" Connor apologized as he moved to the side.

Looking for a place to sit, he saw a table with newly peeled carrots, they looked delicious for some reason, probably because he didn't eat anything in a week, he is yearning to eat almost anything!

He sat down and started munching on them, they were crunchy and nice.

An angry-looking chef grabbed him from the head.

"What the hell are you doing in my kitchen? get out!" He screamed.

"Sorry, I was just looking for something to eat!" Connor apologized again.

The angry chef screamed again.

"I would have given you some if we weren't cooking for someone important! Sorry but you'll have to wait, now get out!"

"I have to admit, they are tasty! They must have brought the highest quality!" An old man with a long beard and golden eyes said as he appeared out of nowhere sitting next to Connor. It was Kinryuu mimicking Connor and munching on the carrots.

"Who the hell..." The chef was about to scream again as he another voice.

"Sorry, had to purchase some fried chicken nuggets!" A kid with deep dark-green hair said as he also appeared out of nowhere, that was Chris.

"Bro how are you doing! been ages since we sat down like this!" Connor greeted the kid with a fist bump. Kinryuu also joined in.

"Oh god, they reek of olive oil!" Connor said as he smelled the nuggets.

"Sadly we don't have what we called cooking oil here!" Chris replied.

"He always told me about it, we never figured how to make it though!" Kinryuu adds.

The three of them ignored the angry chef as they ate, so he called out security.

Leading the guard squad were three armed men and other people who just looked like brutes. probably for restraining.

They circulated the table, drawing their weapons.

"Get out of the kitchen or we will use force, we prefer to not hurt an old man or a kid!" They stated.

At that point, Vanessa entered the kitchen carrying a massive box filled with meat.

As she saw that she screamed,

"Put down your weapons!"

"But Vanessa-san, Those have intruded on the kitchen and seemed to have interrupted the chef!" One of the men replied.

"That's right! I can't cook for the hero if they are here!" The chef said.

"You dumbass! The hero you're cocking for is sitting right there!" Vanessa pointed at Connor!

The chef looked at Connor in disbelief.

"On top of that, The old man is the thunder lord and the kid is the tempest lord!"

The chef froze in place, the guards drooped their weapons.

The three sitting on the table are the real deal.

The kitchen fell in silence.

"No need for that Vanessa-chan, I wouldn't mind exercising with them!" Kinryuu said as he looked at the guards his eyes started to slightly glow.

"Your right! It is kinda rude of a chef to yell at people eating!" Chris looked the chef in the eyes.

"Ok, ok! Now stop joking please, you're scaring them to the bone, jeez!" Connor said, and with that Kinryuu started laughing.

"Sorry, Sorry! I was joking!" Kinryuu replied, Chris also nodded up.

Vanessa guided them to the dining hall, where they can't cause trouble.

The dining hall was large, filled with ornament. A long table was the center enough to fit a dozen people.

At the walls, several maids stood carrying water and wine, some carrying towels.

"Can you give them some chairs? It seems tiring to stand like that, It also makes me a bit uncomfortable!" Connor whispered to Vanessa.

She gave him a weird look before telling the maids to sit down, The maids also seemed confused for a bit before complying with the order.

Connor didn't know why they were confused so Kinryuu explained to simply to him.

"It simply considered disrespectfully for a maid to sit down as they are serving someone!"

Chris also adds up.

"Imagin entering a restaurant and the waitress are just sitting on chairs in the corner and waiting for you to call them. Or sitting in a job interview before you are permitted to do so!"

"I can somewhat get it but not fully, let them just do what they are comfortable with!" Connor stated.

After that, they started talking about what happened, Kinryuu told them of his meeting with Xaviin and how he let him live to extort money from him.

Chris told a brief summary of his story, how he was born as a devil and how he fought the previous wind lord and undeath lord, how has his two sentries life in this world has impacted him...

At that moment the door opened and Alice sprung out, jumping directly at Connor followed by Alva in her trail.

"Connor-sama are you alright? How do you feel?" Alice asked in confusion.

Connor had to calm her down, she was too excited to think straight and kept stuttering.

"What have you been to in this week?" Connor asked.

"Well I have been tending to the survivors of Roa, after your fight with Xaviin it seems that most of the cavern collapsed so the inhabitant had to take refuge here," Alice said.

Connor was about to ask how they got up but then remembered that Ariel dug a massive hole in the ground as she was fighting Xaviin, also the fact that there was a way up before!

"In normal conditions, the entire city population will be convicted as they are mostly thieves and assassins, the slaves were freed of course... but we can hold that large number of prisoners..." Alva said.

Alice agreed with her as she stated.

"Vanessa told us that they work for you so we let them take shelter outside the city but winter is close, also a huge number of the slaves we freed don't have a place to go to and said they want to serve the hero!"

At that moment the food was ready so Alice left them to eat.

"Will talk about this later!" She said.

After the meal, Connor had to head to the barracks and greet Alice's father.

Basically, he has to introduce himself to his father-in-law.

Connor, Chris, and Kinryuu, guarded by Vanessa and a few guards headed out toward the barracks.

"Being guarded feels nice, I don't have to worry about anyone ambushing us!" Kinryuu said.

"You must jest!" Vanessa replied.

"She is right, us being here is just a formality, who is stupid enough to start a fight with you?" one of the guards asked.

"People who don't know us! Like what happened in the kitchen, we're counting on you to stop the fight before our interference is needed, otherwise will just cause more damage than needed!" Chris stated, looking at Kinryuu and Connor.

"I won't break anything!" Said Connor.

"I won't cause a mess!" Kinryuu said.

Connor suddenly stopped, he looked around as if looking for someone.

"What the problem?" Chris asked.

"Vanessa, They will listen to me right?"

Vanessa paused for a moment before replying

"Well, you're the boss!"

Connor smiled as he pointed toward a man in the street.

"Get me him!"

He then just kept walking, as if nothing happened.

"Can you explain?" Chris asked.

"I'm intrigued, what's are playing with?" Kinryuu adds.

"Vanessa-sama, what is he about? can we leave it like this?" One of the guards asked.

"It's alright, he isn't interfering directly so there won't be any noticeable damage!" Vanessa replied.

They kept walking for about a minute, then a man with a cart stooped suddenly in front of them. jumping from the cart he ran away immediately without revealing his face.

The guards were furious, he interpreted the three most dangerous people in the city.

"Vanessa-sama were following him!" One of the guards said but he was stopped by Vanessa.

"It's alright, this was expected!"

Connor walked to the cart and unveiled its content! In it a man was tied up, marks of beating are visible on his face.

It was the same man from earlier that Connor wanted to be brought to him.

Going through the man jacket Connor found what looked like a golden necklace.

"Go to the city plaza and find an old woman who is looking for her stolen jewelry, give them back to her!" Connor threw the necklace toward an alley where a woman snatched it and ran away.

"Care to explain!" Chris asked.

"To clear the first part, Ariel now can detect anything in a 1-kilometer radius, when this man stole the old woman's necklace Ariel tagged him for a thief!" Connor said.

"Now to explain the second part, the entire forces of assassins and thieves of Roa's city are here! The assassin follows my lead and thieves follow Jack, but both I and Jack follow Connor! This means that Connor leads us all!" Vanessa explained.

"So you used them to catch a single thief?" Chris asked.

"I can feel about a dozen people moving around but am not sure, am suppressing my aura after all!" Kinryuu said.

"To be exact, there are about 3000 thieves and assassins infesting this city which Connor can command. At all times there are at least 20 of them watching each of me, Connor, Alice, Alva, Mei, Dolrig, Alema, and jack, waiting for order!"

The guards were shocked, they weren't expecting this.

"What do you mean?" One of the guards asked.

"The hero's special, collecting and cleaning force! Give us an ominous yet funny name!" Vanessa stated.

"Hoho! That seems fun!" Kinryuu stated.

Connor thought for a moment, he was thinking of names, special force is a good enough name, maybe SAF (Special ambush force) or something like this.

Vanessa's assassins guild is named Shadow hand, the thieves guild didn't bother getting a name so I can name them all shadow hands right?

"Seem about right to me, Carrying the name of the hero will give us quite a reputation as well being a gang can mean were to not be taken lightly!" Vanessa said.

The guards have given up, they just can't keep up.

"See I told you it will be fun to build your own forces!" Kinryuu said to Chris.

"Shut up, I prefer to move alone!" Chris replied.

Vanessa has talked before with Alice about recruiting the assassins and thieves under the hero and was surprised with a quick acceptance, Alice did have a use for them which was a bit scary considering that Alice just started moving around as a person of power!

Vanessa kept having a bad feeling so she asked her assassins to report to her all of Alice's movements and requests, she also asked Jack to do the same.

As she walked behind Connor, Vanessa was still nervous, thinking that something bad might happen soon!
