As they depart, Alva looks at Lydia's grave and thoughts.

The lord was getting furious, as everyone felt the mana oozing from him.

He then turned to me.

The priest that we dragged with us hurried to heal her the moment the lord yelled at him.

It was the first time the lord put his head to the ground.

I don't think Lydia tried to save Connor just because he is a man she likes or the hero.

Most likely she saw Alice-sama's attachment to him as the hero and wanted to protect him for Alice-sama's sake too. Probably even Lydia started to see Alice as her daughter as well.

No that isn't right since the three of us are married to Connor now.

If I said that to her she would probably start crying again so I won't.
