Chapter Eighty-One

 Kate tromped through the forest her dagger gripped so tightly in her hand she was sure it was going to leave a permanent mark. They had been walking through trees for some time, and 's taunts had abated making it harder for the group to know where they were going. Slowly the sounds of drums filled their ears, and as they neared where it was coming from the smells of delicious foods and perfumes drafted through their noses. Athena and Kate shared a look, though they hadn't expected to come across any villages with people actually living in them they also weren't going to rush headheadlongjust because of some nice music and wonderful smells.
