Characters - Spoilers

Wilkomir Michał Jazłowiecki - Born 19 July 1605. In the Podolia Province of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

Secretary Kowalski - fictional character. He comes from poor nobility, devoted to the Jazłowiecki family. He worked for MC's father.

Ensign Olszewski - A fictional character. He comes from the poor nobility, a bit of a soldier and a mercenary. MC recruited him at Bar for the war expedition to Livonia. A person with a flexible moral backbone. (Dead)

Sveta - MC's personal maid, was at his birth. She is 13 years older than him, has two children, a son of 10 and a daughter of 7. She is also a widow. Sveta was born in 1592 in Jazłowiec, her son was born in 1612 and her daughter Olena was born in 1615.

Teofia Tarło - third wife of MC's grandfather. Born in 1595, died in 1635. Not much is known from history. She was the daughter of Zygmunt Scypion Tarło, Castellan Sądecki. She had a son who died as an infant.

Galina - MC's personal maid, 25 years old from Moscow, has a 2 year old daughter Ksenia.

Piotr Michał Brzozowski - of Belina coat of arms. Born August 5, 1623. MC's son out of wedlock.

Katarzyna Anna - second child and first daughter of MC and Sveta. Born on July 13, 1625.

Saddat - Commander of the light Tatar cavalry, in the service of MC.

Khan Mehmed III Giray - Khan of the Crimean Tatars. Careful and more cunning. He was an advocate of bringing Crimea and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth closer together. He was also an opponent of the Ottoman Empire. Historical figure.

Shahin Giray - Mirza and Kolga, Mehmed's younger brother. More radical, striving for a war with the Ottoman Empire. Historical figure.

Ivan Barabasz - Cossack colonel in the MC service. Historical figure. Loyal to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

Ilya Karaimowicz - Cossack colonel in the service of MC. Historical figure. Loyal to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

Maksym Krzywonos - Cossack colonel in the service of MC. Historical figure. One of the leaders of the Chmielnicki Uprising, more radical and striving for a war with the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
