What does this story mean?

I try to write what I know, and I know what being a social pariah is. This short novel can be viewed three different ways. EITHER

1.The female lead is led to better herself because of the struggles in her life. Because of the hardships, the female lead pushed herself to greater heights, to prove herself to both herself and others.

It shows that even if odds are stacked against you that only you can better yourself. Even if it seems impossible you can strive for it.

2. The female lead has to drop everything she is, to become everything she isn't; to ever hope to be accepted by others. She had to change her attitude, her status (though she had none), and personality. Finally after finding approval in new friends and family, she still has hurdles to leap over.

No matter how much she changes herself nothing seems to enough. She found happiness and love in her brother, family, and other friends; but didn't find romantic love until she met a man that could never actually see her. After becoming the star in everybody's eyes she had peeked and simply became a star that people wanted to grab and keep for themselves. Even after she proved herself to the world, she had a huge problem, just one opposite of her initial issues.

3. This whole thing is just inspirational stuff, and it doesn't mean anything.
