Chapter 29
It’s Friday, past five in the afternoon, and I’m supposed to meet Niall in a park next to his apartment in an hour, right after it gets dark.
I put on a pair of Nike sweatshirts and then, after I fail to find my matching Nike sweatshirt, I grab the Adidas one. I text Niall that I’m calling an Uber as I slip into my blue Zanotti sneakers and grab a jacket from my closet. It’s already November, and it’s getting really cold, especially in the evening. I find one of Jason’s beanies in the hallway before I grab my bag and leave the house, leaving a sad-faced Bentley behind, but I know Jason will be more than happy to play with him for the whole night.
I get to the park at five minutes past six, to find Niall, Zayn, and Louis sitting on a bench, smoking cigarettes.
"Finally." Niall says and I greet everyone. I haven’t seen Zayn in forever, so he stands from the bench and kisses both my cheeks.
