Episode 2

The next sunrise, mom had a call from the head administrator Robin, she left quite early and had a note at the flank of my breakfast.

I read and not relatively long, the doorbell rang, I rode to the front door and unlocked it, Jax was seen standing at my front porch with a rose in his hand.

What's going on?

Perhaps I'm reckoning he got lost and so ended up in my house.

"Hello Tatiana, good morning,"

He welcomed.

"What do you want Jax, are you here to fight with me?".

I said.

"Nope, on the contrary, I'm here to have a serious talk with you, Tatiana".

Jax answered back.

He wants to talk, but why?

I steered him in and he takes a seat like he owned the house, I ignored that and went to him.

"So tell me, what's up?".

I said.

"I need your help please, it's urgent".

Jax frequently said to me.

I'm yet to understand what he needed or better still what he wanted to speak with me about, deep down I felt the urgency in his voice and anxiously wanted to know more.

"Please tell me what you want?"

I asked irritatedly.

He smiles and said, "Tatiana, I know I'm the last person you would want to see this morning, and trust me, I don't like it as well but you're the only person I could think of for help,"

"Tell me, what can I do for you?".

I gave an audience to his request.

"I want to invite you to my parent's anniversary, I hope you can come,".

Jax brings out an envelope and placed the rose flower on it.

I grabbed it glancing at him, it was uncertain to think he would invite me to his parent's anniversary, after all, we aren't friends, and trust me, we both hate and dislike each other.

I cannot aid but wonder what's simmering inside his head.

Unexpectedly before I could alter a single word, Jax turns to the exit and left.

I rode after him but he gets into his car and rode in a hurry.

Again, why do I have this feeling like something wrong was going to happen?

Thereafter in college Jax and I bumped into each other, we both looked and rode past without seizing a second glance.

I had thought he would as usual fight with me but on a startling note he didn't, he just rides past me and left.

Jax has never done that before, something isn't right.

The whole day I had back-to-back classes, and the minute it ended I took the first cab home.

Mom hasn't come in and so I went Into my bedroom to sleep, I threw away my bags on the floor when suddenly my eyes caught Jax's invitation on the table.

I forgot he had invited me to his parent's anniversary.

And speaking of the devil, he phoned me.

Yes!, Unfortunately, when mom had us paired, we had no other option but to share our contacts.

"Hello Jax, why are you calling?".

I had hoped he called to shout at me, however, he did the opposite of what I expected of him, and yet again I'm shocked.

"Hello Tatiana, where are you, I'm waiting at home please come over right away,".

He says and instantly disconnected the call.

Come home immediately, I wonder why?.

Well, I left home right after he called me, the cabman drove me to the address on the card.

It was an hour's drive, I got out of the cab and immediately my jaw dropped.

Jax lived in a huge mansion, although I knew he is a spoilt piece of shit with rich parents, I never knew he lived in such a mansion, like what in the odds Jax isn't from a royal family.

I walked in to see it was a masquerade party, like what in the odds Jax forgot to tell me.

I walked in and everyone present there stared at me like I was from another planet.

A lady almost ripped my cloth away, thankfully I had good reflexes and slapped her hand away.

The party seemed a little odd, the entire Mansion had weird decorations, and I felt like I was being followed.

Jax was nowhere seen, I walked up hoping I might bump into him, rather I meant someone else.

"Who are you looking for?"

A man's voice rides my head back.

I ran out of words seeing how huge he appeared to be, I scooted a little and accidentally missed my step.

I saw myself falling, surprisingly a hand grabbed my hand and drew me back with just a push

I fell into the arms of a man, I looked up after getting a hold of my breath seizing Jax wrapped me in his arms.

We both stared at each other, my brain wasn't fully charged and so continued staring.

Jax pulled me away and turned back to the hefty-looking man who watched us from behind.

"My apologies dad, Tatiana here is my guest,"

Jax explained.

The man grunted, brushed past me, right after he gave me a wary look.

He was the same as his son Jax, both had this dominating attitude, and it makes me uncomfortable.

I can understand Jax's behavior but his dad has a lot of evil surrounding him.

I know he is his dad but I can't help but feel I'm in danger when he's around me.

Jax held my hand and we walked into a room.

He shuts the door closed and turned hastily.

I had nothing to see because I'm certain he had something to tell me.

Anything Jax gets uneasy and sweaty, just knew he has something to tell or a request to ask of you.

"Tatiana, tell you for coming, I was hoping you wouldn't,"

He says.

Although he is right, I can help but feel there's something he wished to tell me.

"I know, but tell me, whatever do you want from me?".

I asked.

Jax runs his hand through his hair, I saw how smoothly it passed and thought about how much gel he would have miss used to get the perfect gel style.

"Please sit and I'll explain,"

He walks me to a sofa placed behind me.

I sat anxiously awaiting his response.

"Tatiana, whatever I'm about to tell you, promise me you won't say no".

Jax said.

He brings out a hand, I looked and grabbed it.

I know I shouldn't have accepted but I'm curious about what he wants from me.

He grins and said a shocking word to me, please be my girlfriend! He dares to say such words

Like, how dare he.

I rose from the sofa in shock and pushed him, Jax wears a surprised glance and tries interfering again.

I held his mouth shutting him up.

We both were so close to each other, those times I would feel upset and irritated whenever he was close to me, however, this time I don't.

I didn't feel or have any signs of irritation and hate, rather I could feel my heart flutter.

What the hell is happening to me and why is it happening?
