Chapter Two

Working with Mr. Greg was always more interesting with each encounter but she could tell that he was a bit off and not like his usual self. He didn't charge into the room as boisterously as he usually did and with his personal assistant, hot on his heels. This time, he was much more subdued with his entrance and Adele wanted to ask what the matter was, but feared upsetting him. She didn't want to have anything to do with ruining their chances with Mr. Greg and his financial status if she were to scare him off with personal questions.

He was a friendly man and she loved the way that he buddied up to her, despite their different social rankings. He was more of a cheerful granddad than the ruthless and eccentric boss, the public knew him to be. Even Celine saw him as someone that she wouldn't want to defy, for fear of her reputation and that of her company.
