Chapter one

Black coffee brew poured into the mug from the dispenser and Adele quickly stirred in, precisely two cubes of sugar and a teaspoonful of a powdered sweetener, just the way her boss liked it. The black liquid transformed into a pale milky version, right before her and she smiled at the usual result.

As soon as she picked up the coffee mug with her right hand and the files on the desk with her left, a middle-aged woman with a fiery red hair in a neat chignon and a dark blue pants suit, came bursting from the sliding doors leading into the building.

Adele immediately rushed to her side and although she could barely keep up with her long legs and the pace at which she went, she smiled obligatorily and handed the mug to her.
