Chapter 6: The Paradox Principle
Ava closed her eyes and focused her thoughts on the Nexus, hoping to activate the ChronoGen and escape the danger that was rapidly approaching. But as she concentrated, she felt a strange sensation wash over her.
It was as if her mind was being pulled in two different directions. She felt the power of the ChronoGen coursing through her body, but at the same time, she felt a strange force pushing against her, resisting her attempts to activate the device.

It was herself.
Or rather, it was another version of herself, from another timeline. This Ava was older, more experienced, and carried herself with a sense of authority that Ava recognized in herself.
The older Ava explained that she was a time traveler, just like Ava, but she had been doing it for years. She had seen the damage that could be caused by paradoxes and had dedicated her life to correcting them.
The older Ava told her about the Paradox Principle, a theory that stated that paradoxes were not only dangerous but also inevitable. She explained that every action that a time traveler took had the potential to create a paradox, and it was up to them to find a way to fix it.
Together, the two versions of Ava set out to fix the paradox that Ava had created. They traveled back to the desert village, hoping to undo the changes that Ava had made and restore the timeline to its original course.
As they arrived in the village, they were confronted by the consequences of Ava's actions. The people who had once thrived now struggled once again, and the community was on the brink of collapse.
The two Avas set to work, using their combined knowledge of science and technology to create a plan to fix the paradox. They knew that they had to be careful, or they could make the situation even worse.

The two Avas continued to work, carefully correcting every change that Ava had made. With each correction, they saw the timeline become more stable, and the danger of the paradox dissipate.
Finally, after what felt like hours of work, they were finished. The timeline was stable once again, and the paradox had been untangled.
As they prepared to leave, the older Ava turned to her younger self and gave her a warning. She explained that time travel was a dangerous and powerful tool, and that it should only be used with the utmost care.
She also warned Ava that the consequences of her actions would follow her, no matter where she went. She would have to live with the weight of her decisions.
