Chapter 63: 'Together Forever'

'Why isn't he here yet?' Hazel asked walking back and forth in the living room.

'Come on Haze, maybe he had something urgent to do on his way here. He'll be back soon' Ed said trying to calm her down.

'He would have informed me if that was the case. I am really worried' Hazel said throwing them a panicked look.

'You know I can take care of myself right?' Chris asked walking through the main entrance.

'Oh thank god he's here' Charlotte said sighing in relief because she knew even he was to be a minute late Hazel would have turned the house upside down.

'Where were you? It's almost midnight' Hazel asked walking over to Chris.

'I had some work and my phone's battery died so I wasn't able to inform you guys' Chris replied calmly as he sat next to Ed.

'You could have told me before leaving, right? You didn't say anything back then and didn't call later too. How do you think I was supposed to stay calm?' she asked boiling with anger.
