First Day of School

"Mom! Hurry up! I don't want to be late in my first day of school!" Jade Yang shouted while grabbing an apple from the fruit basket.

"Just a moment sweetie!" her replied. Mrs. Yang is a lawyer. She has her own private law firm. And Jade's school is along the way to her office. So they agreed to drop her in school.

"Is that all you're eating for breakfast?" she asked, seeing that Jade is eating an apple while waiting for her. She is holding the keys of her BMW in her left hand while holding an attache case in her right.

"Yes. I don't want to be late. I will just eat in the school's cafeteria later".

"How about you mom?" she asked her mom.

"I will just eat in the office. Let's go. Make sure to have your breakfast in school."

"Yes."

"Lock the door. Make sure you bring your keys. Auntie Chen will be back tomorrow. Someone will prepare breakfast for us by then."

"I miss dad. We are both hopeless in the kitchen."

"Hehe. I'm sorry sweetie. Your dad spoiled me rotten ever since we got married. He never allowed me in the kitchen", her mom laughed.

"Don't worry. He said he will be back next week."
