Song recommended: So Far Gone/ Fast Life Bluez By Brent Faiyaz
The beat… that's all she could hear as she felt the buzz in her body. The very buzz that made her body vibrate deliciously to the music. The very music heightened her senses and wouldn't stop making her mind display dangerous images.
The kind of images that made one look at reality with a crazy eye. The kind of images that made one very paranoid. The very images that would not stop haunting her for days on end.
Especially since she had been running since that very night, hiding in places that were vacant. Until she moved and moved and moved till she got to where she was right this very moment. She had gotten tired of hiding, so she dressed up and used her power together her shit together.
And she ended up at the very club that made her forget her very name.
He sung,
"You say you trust us
But don't pick the phone up
Act like we mean something to you
I know you doing you
I call your brother on the landline
He say you ain't never got no downtime
You always working so late
Hope that you're safe
Fairly been missing you, you gon' come back this way
You know it's real out here for us
It's like you don't care enough"
She danced to his voice. Danced to the sound of the drums and let her mind wander off into the night. She didn't care about who looked at her crazy. didn't care about how certain men brushed up against her and some had the audacity to touch her. This was her choice to forget. She wanted to drown in it all.
So she let her being float in the water, the predators surrounding her but she didn't bother. No, she wouldn't bother. How could she when the world made no sense to her and she wouldn't have the luxury of returning home?
She felt someone wrap their arms around her waist and she didn't struggle. She felt the man guide her hips to the song. His hands carefully brought her arms as he let his hands go down them carefully. His hands rested on her hips and he turned her around.
She kept her eyes on his chest, not wanting to remember him if she saw him again in the future. She let him guide her and they both moved like storytellers. They both moved at bay and no one had an issue.
His hand rested on her neck and she let her head fall back as they swayed. Her eyes closed but she could feel the different lights splash different color's on her eyelids. She didn't have to open them to know which was which and right then she heard him sing,
"It won't be too long
Till I'm not here to say how much you mean to me one day
I won't be too long
I want you to stay strong
'Cause it won't be too long
Just tell my baby close her eyes and
Wait for me to get off from my vacation
My life just wasn't no place for ya
How can I lie?
Oh, and I can't cry
This one's for my child, my child
I'll see you in your dreams tonight
This one here for my child, my child
I'll see you in your dreams tonight"
When the next song came on, she headed straight to the back door, feeling the need for air. She felt her emotions piling up and she didn't know what to do about it. So when she got outside, she took a deep breath but it was too late. The tears were already falling.
The pain had already grown too big to easily disregard. The images had begun to burn like how she had burned him. "Hey sexy, where you going?" she heard and turned to find a man standing behind her.
He stared at her with some sort of emotion, some sort of desire, and one that made her feel incredibly ill. "Leave me alone, please." She whispered as she tried to get back in the club by going around him but then the man only pulled her back. Pushing her roughly against the wall.
"You are so pretty. So, so, pretty. I wish I had someone as pretty as you. Maybe I already do," he whispered before running his tongue from my neck to cheek. Savouring whatever sweetness he could find but leaving me with nausea of disgust.
"Leave me alone." She whispered again, feeling her tears continue to spill but tightening her hands into fists that way she wouldn't hurt someone else. She felt everything yet nothing and the world seemed to cause her to become someone who hated more than loved.
"I won't hurt you…I promise. You will enjoy…" he whispered and she felt her entire being be filled with chills.
