Chapter Thirty-Three: Angel X Darkness POV: Finding Markings

Song recommended: Make Me Cry By Pip Milliet

The water stream seemed to glow a very bright blue and white. Making it seem like an enchantress in the way it ran. It seemed to make one thirst more to dive into it. Seemed to make one desire to have it more and more.

Leaving no space for doubt or hesitation.

But when you are raised in a place where temptation is a daily dose of habits and medication. You get worn out and bore of staring at it easily. You just choose to take it all in but refrain from touching it at all costs.

Being the devil's son, you were always told that everything is yours and there are no rules to it. Yet the rule of betraying your father being engraved into you is the biggest sin of all.

Maybe the big man up there didn't know this, but his sons had all inherited some parts of him in different ways. They all grew giving him everything yet needing him to give back something.

He grew up better than most, he grew up given everything plus a mother who cared despite her having married the devil. Yet there were moments where his father was tough on him. Trying to teach him the true meaning of being a server and the true meaning of having power.

There was anger or hatred towards his own father until he reached a certain point and time in his life where he wanted more than the freedom he had. Having power wasn't as big as everyone who thought they had it saw it.

He needed more in his life, that's why he had betrayed his father and went against one of his wishes. Taking off into the night with an angry father but after some time or well some decade. They had agreed and spoken but that didn't mean everything had gone smoothly as they had assumed.

His father still didn't fully trust him, so whenever he sent him on missions or tasks. There was always someone watching over him or reporting but that didn't mean he just let it slide. No, he always found a way to get rid of them but this one in particular stayed.

He always seemed to call her, "Rosie." I whispered as I splashed her with a bit of water, causing her to wake up quickly. As though in shock. Quickly blinking away the water her dark eyes seemed to slowly find focus when she locked eyes with me.

"Your highness," she whispered and I arched my eyebrow. Confused as to why she would call me that as I wasn't the king of anything nor would I have the power to rule hell at all. I knew for a fact that he would survive, no matter how many fights he would start or enter into.

"No, this isn't my father, so wake up. You have been out for a day and we need to find that angel before she gets too far." I huffed as I took in a bit of water and began to get up. "Apologies. I don't even know why I called you that. But for a second, you truly looked like your father." She said as she got up.

Dusting her clothes, I turned away from her as her words seemed to replay themselves in my mind. The only person who had ever said that to him was his own mother and now someone else said it. At times, he could see the resemblance but there were days where he didn't see it.

His father and he were total opposites. Even though they were always together yet he found more comfort in being with his mother. He could feel the true warmth coming from her. She adored him and he adored her.

Who would have known that the true queen would love and the devil's son would have that instilled in him? Heaven would have a field day with this kind of discovery.

Oh, the horror.

"I can't feel the power, has something happened to me, or has your father taken away my power?" she asked. "This is the beginning, Rosie, meaning that we are in the great garden. This is the place where power was nothing and everyone was matched with the very same. Each was to survive as they would yet avoid certain actions.

So we should make sure to not piss off whoever watches over this realm otherwise not even my father will be able to save us. And I mean that literally." I said

"Then let's hurry up and find the girl shall we?" she said before heading off in a direction that I hadn't noticed.
