Kill.. Me

It was not a wise decision for Diana to go back, for she could feel in every throb of her pulse that she's running out of time. The venom travels through her veins, leaving a painful trail that makes her heart grow weaker. And soon, she knows death becomes her.

However, she felt responsible for Gunner knowing that she insisted her adamant decision of coming here despite Gunner's vetoes and hesitancy. Trusting her instinct that Roman would never lay a finger on her, with the protection of Ofir's marbles, Diana braced herself as she make a risk-taking turn.

"Gunner!", she hurriedly ran to Gunner who's still wincing in indescribable pain even when unconscious. Diana tried to wake him up, yet he couldn't. She called his name until her mouth dried out from breathing heavily.

"You shouldn't have come here", Roman said from behind.

Diana stood up and slowly faced Roman. He was standing close to her with eyes she have never seen before. "Roman, this is not you. You'll never hurt your friends", Diana said. Roman knitted his brows and hardened his jaw as he stare at Diana.

"I wouldn't, if they didn't disobeyed me", Roman said. Diana thought that the glow in his eyes were different as it was filled with emptiness. The way he stared at her, it's like he's prepared to hurt her, without blinking an eye.

"They're like your brothers!" Diana shook his arms trying to wake him in this terrible nightmare. "And Gunner? He's always been there for you. You don't want to do this", Diana strongly believes that making Roman remember the friendship he have treasured with his friends would be enough to break the spell of possession, great memories that are strong enough to feed good energy to the Alpha in him.

Tamara's magic hook on the wolf's dark pasts. Alphas are hardest to get spellbound, because they are usually stronger and wiser. However, Roman had his weaknesses that Tamara was able to find underneath his unconscious mind, making him an easy target for an Alpha.

Roman tilted his head, as if he can hear something whispering in his ears. His mouth opened in awe as he relax his face. He breath deeply squinting his eyes at Diana, seemingly trying to recognize her face.

"Wake up, Roman!! Wake up", she shouted as she grab him by the arm and shook them.

Roman woke up from a daze then held Diana on both of her shoulders and pushed her back against the tree. "You talk too much", he said as he slap Diana's cheek so hard.

Diana dropped on the ground crawling away from Roman. "Please wake up… hear my voice, I know you're in there", she said. "Don't let Tamara get in your head.", she plead some more. Roman seemed unbothered as he took heavy steps towards Diana.

"Listen to your Luna", Diana said while she look into his deep dark eyes.

Roman stopped and started to breathe heavily. He held his head and grabbed his hair wincing in some unbearable pain dropping to his knees. Seeing his reaction, it seemed like Roman is struggling to keep the demons out. The veins in his neck became so thick, as his body tensed along with his silent screams.

"Roman?", Diana said as she reach out for the Alpha.

"Don't touch him Luna!", Ofir suddenly appeared from the rocks who looked so exhausted.

"Ofir! Help him please", Diana said as she stood back up.

"Do you have the marbles?", Ofir asked.

"Maybe you can use them on him", Ofir knew he can't reclaim his powers just yet because the nagua is still after him.

"I don't want to hurt him", Diana said

"We don't have much choice", Ofir replied as took rapid steps to reach Diana

Breathing heavily, Roman looked up at Diana with tired and weary eyes. "Luna, stay away from me… I don't think, I can fight any longer.. I can.. I can hear her inside my head.. she wants me to do awful things" Roman stammered as he fight Tamara's deadly mumbles that can't seem to get off his mind.

Diana ran to Roman and knelt with him. "You're an Alpha. There's nothing you can't handle", she said as she caress Roman's back. Ofir followed Diana, afraid that Roman might hurt her.

"Kill.. me. Kill me now!" Roman said as he grab a rock telling Diana to smash his head with it.

"No! No Roman!! We can fight this!!", she said as she held his hands, throwing the rock away.

"There's no other way", he said.

"He's right Luna!! Do it", Ofir said.

Diana took the stake she kept in her jacket. Unsure if she can put blood in her hands. Kill to save? It is never her ways. Suddenly, Roman had a blank stare

"Luna….", Ofir whispered as he look fixedly on Roman who seemed not himself again.

When Diana looked back at Roman, he tossed her away, making her drop the stake. Diana landed on ground as she wince in pain. "Ofir!! The stake!!", Diana shouted as she grunted in pain. Ofir immediately secured the stake and kept it with him.

Diana stood back up and watch Roman get lost in a daze. Then, he shifted his gaze at Diana without any emotions. "Tonight, the Luna will die", Roman said as he swiftly attacked Diana. Ofir threw the stake to Diana catching it before Roman grabbed her by the neck.

Choking with the breath of life, Diana tapped Roman and tried to kick him several times. With the stake in her hand, instead of stabbing Roman with it, Diana pulled out the protection marble and pressed it on Roman's arm, hoping it would protect Roman from the strong spell casted on him. Roman instantly dropped Diana, who gasped for air as soon as she was held loose.

The marble dug on his skin, and its glow filled Roman's body breaking the spell of possession on him. Roman fell on his back as the marks Tamara tattooed in his skin disappeared one by one.

With tearful eyes, Diana watch Roman come back to his senses. She sighed in relief for not choosing to kill Roman, and the same time, save him. Roman sat up and then when realized Diana was in front of him, he instantly locked her in his arms and said, "Thank you Luna… I'm sorry".

Diana didn't say a word. She hoped that Roman would hear the whispers of her heart, forgiving the Alpha for he doesn't what he's been doing.

"Uhh.. Luna" Ofir called. "The Yuxas are here", he said as he rapidly draw nearer Diana. A group of four human-serpents appeared with a deadly stare and vicious mission.

Roman stood up and helped Diana get on her feet. "Take her to Scott. I'll clean up here first, then I'll catch up", Roman told Ofir. "Luna, be careful", he said as they hurriedly ran up the rocky mountains leaving Roman to the Yuxas.
