I hate the rain

I swallowed hard, my mouth was dry. I lifted my head and looked him in the eyes. I had it all wrong, he hadn't found me out. Thank God I still had time.

" No Jessie that's not it. I'd never do that to you. You're the only friend I have in this shit hole. I'm sorry I lead you to believe I'd turn my back on you.

"Oh Thank God! " Jessie sighed slumping down into the booth. He took a big gulp of his tea and wiped his chin with his sleeve.

"I really thought you hated me. Glad to know otherwise. You're all I have here too" smirking at me sitting back.

God guilt is a fucking ugly horse.

" Jessie, I still haven't told you everything about me. I need to let you know and then you can decide if you still want to be friends or walk away. I'm a..."

" Well would you get a load of this fucking horse shit"

I turned to see Blake and two of his goon ass friends strutting towards our booth with imma gonna fuck you up looks on thier faces.

" Postman, I could have sworn I told you to not let me see you around here again. And yet, here you are with your little boyfriend. Fucking bastard. " slamming his hands on the table.

" Blake, this isnt the time nor the place", I barked. " let us pay for our food and we will leave, I'll even buy yours."

I tried to get out of the seat but Blake grabbed me by the collar and slammed me back into the booth. He hovered his head over mine grinding his hand into my scalp.

" I dont recall asking for your opinion princess, but I'll let ya pay and leave bc I'm sick of looking at you both. Postman this is your last warning."

Blake released my head , suggesting we go now, Jessie and I made our way to the cashier paid for our food and headed out the door. Running to the truck to avoid getting wets it was now down pouring, Jessie asked me.

" You ok?"

" Yeah let's go"

We didnt even get the truck started before Blake's buddies yanked Jessie out of the truck and started kicking him. I got out of the truck, ran around the side was about to jump in when , a bright flash and numbing pain hit my head. The last thing I remembered before my head hit the ground was Jessie screaming my name and Blake laughing as he walked towards me....
