Meeting

"Why did you do it?" Rhen asked as soon as Jade entered their house.

"Do what?" Jade replied, walking straight to their room.

"Cindy sent me a message that Saz called for a meeting among the pillars excluding the both of us. I thought you wanted to avoid trouble now you're annoying the king." Rhen said, following Jade to the room.

"Annoying?" Jade asked as he turned to Rhen. "See I'm sick of him. He has no right to give me orders cause one, I'm his elder brother. Two, I'm a guardian and I don't need orders to do my job. Three, he's only taking my place. Dig that into your brain."

"Jade, what brought up all this stuff you're saying?" Rhen asked.

"Pfft, you didn't even asked what happened at the palace before you start spitting dirt." Jade replied angrily, entering into the room.

"Then tell me, what was it that got you so worked up as to act like this." Rhen said trying to persuade Jade.

Turning to Rhen, Jade took a long gaze at her. "(Takes a deep breath) Billy got a crazy idea from president Avon."

"What was it?" Rhen asked immediately.

"He assumes that the starship from years ago might have been used by the assumed being in space. So there is probably a way to get to the ship if I searched around the close by planets." Jade explained, looking out the window.

"Okay, that was awkward. I mean everything is based on assumption."

"That's what I'm saying but they want me to expend my life force for a crazy assumption." Jade quickly replied.

"How about this, take your time in one of the planets and wait for about a week or two and see if anything turns up." Rhen suggested, holding onto Jade's palm with both hands.

"Are you for real?" Jade said, removing his hands from hers. "I can't leave my family for that long."

"Not if it'll help you saved those you love and we your family." Rhen said softly.

"Tsk, I'm going to do as you say but if they lay a finger on my family before I get back I'm going to burn this village to the ground." Jade said, punching at the wall.

"It's not like Saz to take rash actions. Just go and be back safely." Rhen said as she kissed Jade.

Jade's body started crystalizing and in few seconds it scattered into thin air.

As soon as Jade left, the door shot opened. It was two soldiers holding an mk-19 gun with them.

"What do you want?" Rhen asked.

"The king ordered us to bring Mr Jade to the palace." One of the soldiers stated.

"Jade has gone to another planet to do as the king ordered." Rhen said, walking out the door into the living room.

"I'm afraid you'd have to come with us." The other soldier said.

"Come with you?! What business do I have with the king? I wasn't even informed about the meeting and besides it's not like they need any forged weapon." Rhen said, trying to sound logical.

"Mrs Rhen, i think it's....."

"Don't push your luck and just leave." Selina said immediately she opened the main door. Beside her was Racle.

"I'm sorry, we are only trying to do our...."

Selina didn't even wait for the soldier to finish, she sprinted forward to the two soldiers, held there guns with her hands hardened as she pulled it away from them.

"Selina stop!" Rhen shouted. Turning to the soldiers she said..." Please leave our house, now."

The soldiers quickly left leaving the guns behind.

"I see you've finally awaken the hardening skills." Rhen commented as soon as the soldiers left.

"Yeah, she did so this morning during training, you should have seen how persistent she was, trying to do so." Racle said.

"(Sighs) I don't think what we just did was a good idea, though." Rhen said, sitting down on the couch with Selina and racle still standing. "King Saz is only gonna get mad."

"Just because they don't have a need for him doesn't mean they could do as they like... This is the results of the path he took." Racle said, taking a sit. "If they mess with our family, they mess with the strongest family In this world."

"Alright that's enough with the big talk." Rhen said. "Your dad has gone off to another planet, he'd be back in a week."

"What! He didn't even say a goodbye to us before he left." Racle exclaimed.

"So what about our training? Who's gonna help us train." Selina asked.

"Oh boy! How about I take his place then?" Rhen replied.

"Are you for real?! I guess I'm going to finally see you in action." Selina said joyously.

At the palace, the group that got the message for the meeting: Peter, Mark, Cindy, Billy, Dr Bryan, former captain Drek, Arthur, Hegs, Roger with the previous queen who was old and stricken were all gathered.

As soon as they were all present, Saz stood up and started.

"First of all, my appreciations to you all for coming down here.

I called this meeting to get your opinion on the same matter included in the message previously sent."

"Your majesty, though Jade took it far but he has the right to do or say whatever he likes. It's not like he's subject to anybody" Arthur said.

"Agreed." Mark said, standing up. "I believe Jade's rank is more superior to yours in the world's view."

"I disagree on that. If Jade and his family is a citizen of Takeki village then he'll have to abide by its rules." Drek stated.

"Though that's true but aren't we talking about the person that saved the world from annihilation?" Peter asked.

"I know Jade isn't entirely right in that action but what right do we have to punish him?" Hegs asked.

"Is that all?" Saz asked and nobody said anything else. "If you say Jade isn't subject to me, I agree with you but no one is above the law and I am the law in the village if he can't abide by it he should leave."

"Leave? Do you think we actually don't need him? We don't even know how strong our enemy is." Cindy said.

"Well, I've already sent two soldiers to bring him here and any minutes from..... I guess they're here." Saz said as the palace door opened.

The two soldiers came in panting with sweat all over their faces.

Everyone turned to see who had entered and were just staring at the two soldiers until eventually the king spoke up.

"Where's Jade?" Saz asked.

"Mrs Rhen said he left for what you ordered him." One of the soldiers answered.

"I doubt he did so, he actually refused to go..." Saz said turning to Billy who nodded in confirmation. "Where are your guns?"

"Selina attacked us and collected them." The soldier answered.

"Tsk, that little thing did what?" Saz asked in annoyance.

"She has awakened the hardening skills, she's now a complete guardian." The other soldier quickly replied.

"As you can see, even his family has no regard for me." Saz said, slightly jamming his hands on the chair. "If you are still with him raise your hands up."

Everywhere was silent and nobody moved an inch.

"I'm with him." An old woman said, walking into the palace, knight Flin.

*Knight Flin!* Everyone exclaimed in shock. Mark, Dr Bryan and Hegs, Arthur, and Cindy rose up their hands too.

"If That's all, then the vote would measure up to six ratio seven." Saz said, rising up to his feet. "I hereby pronounce my punishment, Jade's family will be....."
