(3rd Person POV)
There was decayed shrine located at the distance of about one day on horseback from the imperial palace of Lebus. Cracks could be seen on the walls as well as the pillars, and most of it was covered with deep black moss. It is a building so ancient that it was clearly damaged from the wind, and rain. It was a temple in which ghosts were more likely to inhabit than bandits. There is neither villages nor towns nearby, or if there were, they have all disappeared, or died for some reason.
A girl was visiting this run-down shrine to which probably no human on their right mind would ever approach. The girl was ridding a tall armoured horse. She covered her beautiful bright red hair, and her different colored eyes with a hat, and she had an overcoat on top of her purple dress. There was a whip bundled to the waist of her dress. This girls was the Princess of the Thunder Swirl, Elizavetta Fomina.
"It seems that I am in the right place."
She whispered as she looked up at the run-down shrine.
Elizavetta got down from her horse, showing no signs of fear, she entered the temple with her whip on her left hand, an unusual sight since she is right handed. The cold air in the building stroke her cheeks. The whip that she was grasping in her left hand was emitting a white light that illuminated much of this building. Elizavetta was always glancing at her right hand as she walked deeply into the temple, almost as if she feared something would happen to it, but so far, she felt nothing in particular.
Elizavetta then looked around the shrine trying to find anything that would help her. However, her time was cut short when the inside of the decayed shrine began to fall apart just like the outside. Debris rolled over the narrow passage that was full of holes. It was just a matter of time before the entire hallway fell on top of her. Knowing this, Elizavetta silently advanced through the passage, and finally arrived at an opened place. It was a space that could hold Baba Yaga.
A stone statue of an old woman stood alone in the middle.
"Baba Yaga!" Elizavetta shouted as she glared at the statue with eyes of contempt, her voice was so loud that the entire temple shook.
"Come out, Baba Yaga!"
Feeling no response, the red-haired Vanadis stepped forward with her whip on her hand, and brought it down on the statue.
Smashing it into pieces. Thunder fell down upon the shrine, shaking its very core. However, the building didn't fall.
Elizavetta gripped her black whip, and looked around, cautiously, hoping to find her enemy, however, contrary to her expectation, about 30 minutes went by without even a sound occurring. Elizavetta turned around giving one last glance at the ruined statue before leaving it be.
"The actions of a lunatic, eh..."
She had invaded a shrine which was probably inhabited for at least 100 years, cried and destroyed it and came out. Elizavetta herself thought that if someone saw her then they would look puzzled.
As for Elizavetta, other than calling out the statues of Baba Yaga in Lebus, and destroying them to provoke her, she wasn't capable of thinking of another method to drag her out. As she placed her black whip back on her waist, Elizavetta stared at her left hand. She was originally right-handed, so she ended up having practise hard so that she could wield her Viralt with both her hands.
However, compared with her right hand, she remained uneasy, specially in a fight against a witch. A witch that is so powerful to the extent that she gave her right hand powers that she could never dream off. But such powers come with a price. Nightmares haunted her every single time she tried to fall asleep... She could feel it. She was losing control.
'I have no choice but to do it.'
Elizavetta persuaded herself with such this thought. She straddled the horse that was quietly waiting at the entry of the shrine, grasped the reins, and made the horse run as fast as possible as she kicked its belly.
She knew there was at least another 9 temples which enshrined Baba Yaga. She doesn't know if destroying all the temples will pull the witch out of her hidding spot, however, she has no choice. She must act first.
On the desolate ground, Only the sound of horse hooves could be heard.
(Oemitsu POV)
I am high in the sky, looking at Liza leaving the temple. 'She is clearly hunting for Baba Yaga. I'm waiting like a falcon that is waiting on its prey. I will not allow this one to run away. I learned my lesson from Ganelon, after all of this, I have to deal with the Vanadis that has become arrogant, I will make sure that she is punished severely. After Liza killed Kazakov, Valentina took over the north of Zhcted, that sly fox used me as a pawn to increase her own influence. I almost want to praise her for what she did.
Her ambition is like a libido that she cannot get rid off, for that, she is becoming more and more interesting in my eyes.' I smirked.
(You got bigger things to worry about. Your little birds failed to capture the Princess. Now your Princess rests on the hands of that worm Tigre. If he proves that she really is the Princess then he can get her back on the throne.) Nyar told me.
'And I should care, why?' I asked her with a face that showed no interest on the subject.
(That is odd... you wanted to install her on the throne as a puppet, making Brune all yours. If you aren't concern then it means that you have already accomplished your objective?) She unsurely asked. (What is your true objective Mitsu-kun?)
I grinned. 'From the beginning until this point, I was only after the western part of Brune. The south of Brune has been devastated by the Muozinel, and the east, by Tigre since he conscripted everything he could. Even if Regin gets her precious throne back she will be rulling over a weakened Brune. A shadow of its past glory. Over 90 por cent of the gold mines of Brune are located in the north, and in western parts. So I have already gotten the wealthiest parts of Brune, and now I have a buffer country between Muozinel, and my nation.' I explained.
(So, the entire world is on check. One more move, and before anyone can notice it...)
"Fufufufufu. Yes, the entire world is already on the grasp of my hands."
(3rd person POV)
The sun was nowhere to be found in the lead colored sky. A young woman stood in front of a run-down shrined. After sucessfully destroying 9 shrines statues, this is the last one. Her last hope at fixing her problem with her right hand. Elizavetta, who got off her horse, looked at the shrine that was falling apart with an annoyed expression. She grasped her whip with her left hand, and walked right in the run-down temple. There was no door on the temple, and the only thing that could be seen inside is darkness.
The small cracks were projecting light from outside. The red-haired Vanadis shouted towards the abyss where light did not reach.
"Baba Yaga! If you hear me, come out!" Her words echoed throughout the entire shrine.
She has repeated this process multiple times in other shrines, however, this time an old woman's hoarse voice responded to Elizavetta´s voice.
"Don't utter such a loud voice. What will you do if the shrine collapses?" Elizavetta immediately leapt back from there.
Her rainbow eyes were filled with rage, and fighting spirit. The power accumulated on her left hand could be felt from miles away. The black whip was tinged with lightning from the handle to the tip. A small sized old-woman emerged from the darkness of the temple. She wielded a broom that she had drag thanks to her short stature. She wore a black robe that was bigger than her body, and a hood that was the same color as the robe. Only a nose peaked out of her hood, as an ominous miasma was released out of every part of her body.
"You really went, and broke nine statues that served to worship and revere me. 'Whip' you need a little punishment..." the rest of her words could not be heard zince a storm blocked the vision of anyone inside the temple.
Elizavetta used her Viralt to stop herself from being blown away, however, the storm was too strong, and she was sent flying. She hit the ground harshly, and collided with something. Since she the wind dragged her on the ground for a while, her dress got ripped on several parts by it. She quickly rose up from the floor, and looked at what she had collided with.
Four children who were dressed in shabby clothes were standing in front of her. Elizavetta was familiar with their faces. These were the children that bullied her when she was growing up.
'What is the meaning of this'.
The young Vanadis thought as she stared at them with an astonished expression.
The children revealed non human grins, and spoke to her.
"Why is someone as disgusting as you in our village?"
"How can a monster with two different eyes like you exist?"
"You monster. We will teach you a lesson."
The red-haired Vanadis was filled with rage as soon as she heard those words. Those were words that reminded her of her childhood... when she was bullied and despised for her eyes...
"Disappear!" With a war cry, she brought down the whip on the children. Their bodies were bisected in half around the waist. However, not a single drop of blood came out from the sliced trunks.
"Hey." A childish voice called her from behind.
When she turned around she saw somebody she never expected seeing. A girl around ten years old with silver hair, and ruby-colored eyes stood there looking at her.
"Elen." Elizavetta called out involuntarily.
It was without a doubt that this was the young Elen who saved her from the bullies.
"Why does someone as disgusting as you live?"
The young Elen was repeating the same words as the children of the village who bullied her. While the words are the same, the person who is saying them is not.
This affected Elizavetta's state of mind. She stood there at loss for words, paralized.
"You are also an illusion.... right?"
She knew that this was an illusion created by the old witch Baba Yaga, so she raised her whip, and brought it down on the girl. However, her movements were awkward, and slightly dull. While Elizavetta knew that she was an illusion, she still couldn't bring herself to use her entire force on the child that saved her life.
The small Elen stepped back, and dodged the blow. The blow might have not packed the entire force of Elizavetta, however, it still had the power of a Vanadis. Lightning filled the ground, as the earth, and sand was blown off.
"You actually striked me, your saviour, and with quite a tremendous power. I will give you a reward. Here." Young Elen smiled at Elizavetta, who was short on breath. This entire fight was taking a toll on her mental health.
Elen then threw her a severed head that rolled on the ground a few times before coming to a stop in front of Elizavetta. The red-haired Vanadis turned pale. The severed head was her father's. Robion Abt, a noble who commited many crimes two years ago, and was executed by Elen. Elizavetta couldn't bring herself to stop looking at the head.
"Why didn't you help me?" The severed head asked. At the time of the trial of her father, she tried to help him, however, Rodion escaped the trial refusing to listen to her. Elen chased him down, and executed him.
"Why didn't you take revenge on the Vanadis that killed me?" The head kept repeating the same words over, and over again. Messing with Elizavetta'a sanity.
"Shut up!" The young Vanadis kept screaming the same words over, and over again.
Multiple bodies started appearing around her. All the prisioners she executed, all the soldiers that she sent to their deatha were standing in front of her. Numbering in thousands.
"Why didn't you help us?" They all kept repeating the same words.
They blamed Elizavetta for their fate. They were all, either people she killed, or people she wasn't able to save.
'I mustn't listen to them.' Using the rest of the willpower she had left, Elizavetta tore her eyes from the bodies, and looked to the front.
She gripped her whip, and slashed anyone that stood in her way. After her rampage, there was only one human standing beside the Vanadis. Elen was the one in front of her. Not the child Elen, but the present one. The silver-haired Vanadis was dressed in blue clothes, and hung a long sword to her waist was staring at Elizavetta.
"Did you enjoy that whip?"
The old women's hoarse voices resounded, and Elen's face distorted.
As if swollen, her entire face started to decompose, making her right eye fell from the eye socket.
Elizavetta was about to scream to such a disgusting scene, however she managed to regain control of her body. Elen slowly deformed into the old short witch, after seeing this, Elizavetta lifted her whip.
'Calm down, this is just an illusion.' She repeated.
"Valistsaif!"
After fixing her breathing, Elizavetta called out her Dragonic Tool. In response to its master's call, the whip light up. Lightning flowed through Elizavetta almost like a lair of extra skin.
"Slash, and brush aside the dark night, Ephemeral fang!"
With a roaring sound, like a thunder, intense light surged form the tip of the black whip.
Light ran though the space with the speed of lightning, and pierced through the witch's body. Or so it seemed... the witch's body turned into miasma, before she reappeared behind the Vanadis.
"I was wondering how far you would dance, but well it's to this extense, I guess."
The witch leaked a muffled laughter.
Elizavetta sneered and glared at Baba Yaga. "You are quite composed. Do you still have any tricks up your sleeve?" She inquired.
"That is right. For example, I have also got such trick."
The witch placed both of her hands on her broom, and started to speak ancient words almost like she was enchanting.
Immediately after, a small fire ball appeared at the tip of her broom.
'Another illusion?' The young Vanadis thought.
However, the fireball grew to the size of an adult's head, suddenly, she hit the floor with her whip. Her weapon immediatly responded with white light illuminating the environment. "Valistsaif!" Her ball of light clashed with the fireball.
*Boom*.
However, both destroyed themselves when they touched. Elizavetta has fought humans, dragons, and beasts. However, she has never fought a witch like Baba Yaga.
'How should I fight?' The red-haired Vanadis wondered.
She couldn't predict Baba Yaga's pattern, nor how would she act.
"What is wrong? If you don't come, I´ll attack again."
The old witch swung her broom.
Suddenly, a gust of dust blew, obstructing the view of the young Vanadis.
'Such petty tricks!' The Vanadis raised her Viralt, and covered her face for a split second before she sweeped the dust cloud away.
But the second that she lost vision of Baba Yaga, she dissapeared. Elizavetta immediatly looked left, and right. Trying to find the witch.
'Above!' The young Vanadis looked above, and saw a shadow falling upon upon her.
With the little time she had left, she blocked it with her whip. However, there was no response. The black shadow dissapeared, all of a sudden, her legs were swept by something. Her stance was broken, but when she was falling to her knees, she saw the side of a broom hitting her on the side.
She tried to use her right hand, but it didn't respond to her command. With no room to avoid it, she was hit on the sides with the broom. Elizavetta was blown off, and fell on the ground. When she looked at the witch, she saw a fireball heading towards her. She rolled to the side to dodge the fireball, although she avoided an direct impact, the fireball exploded, and she was blown away by the blast.
Her back hit the ground, most of her dress was burned by the fire. Her field of vision shook. An acute pain ran through her entire body. She could not muster any more strength.
Even her voice did not come out.
"I shall soon deliver the last blow." The old witch said while she walked dragging her broom. Elizavetta grasped her whip, but other than that there was nothing else that she could do besides glaring with frustration at the demon.
"Before I kill you, there is something I want to ask... do you know where Oemitsu is? I heard that he was staying on your territory." Elizavetta was suprised at the mention of her guest.
"Even if I knew, I would never tell you!" Elizavetta spitted out. Even before death, she refused to give up her pride. She would die with it.
"In that case..." The old witch brought down her broom with the intent of ending the life of the young Vanadis.
But suddenly, a hand appeared, and grabbed the broom right before it hit the head of the Vanadis.
"I can't have you kill my Liza, can I?" Oemitsu stood there blocking her broom with his hand.
The old witch tried to move it, however, it didn't even move a single centimeter. Elizavetta was clearly shaken by the sudden appearance of Oemitsu.
"Why are you here?" This were the only words the red-haired Vanadis could muster when she saw him. She didn't even notice that Oemitsu claimed her as his.
(Oemitsu POV)
I watched the entirety of the fight between Liza, and Baba Yaga. It was quite interesting. I was hopping that Liza could defeat her, but in the end she lost. What a shame. Since I couldn't just let her die, I interfered, and now I am in this situation. The old witch is trying to get her broom back, however, I won't let her. Ignoring her struggles completely, I turned to Liza.
"I can't let my woman die can I?" I winked at her before I looked at the old witch. "Now, what should I do with you? You dared to hurt my woman."
"Oh dear. You're talking as if I did something bad to this girl. I only gave her power. I gave her so much power that she could break an armor with her bare hands. Aside from being thankful, she has no reason to be resentful." Suddenly, her broom light up on fire, seeing this, I took my hands off it, however, before the witch could back away, I punched her with my Haki covered hand.
However, she dodged it by shrinking in size, making my fist pass over her head, destroying everything behind her, minus her. She remained untouched.
'I didn't think she could shrink.' When I thought of that, she backed away with a jump. I could have chased her, however I have bigger priorities, so I grabbed Liza's waist with one hand, and lifted her up.
"What are you doing?!" She creamed while blushing intensely.
My ears almost bled out from her scream. "Liza, I can't fight with you screaming in my ears." I told her.
"Put me down right in this instant!" She demanded.
"No, can't do! If you die, then it would be rather problematic for me." I shook my head.
"You can get another ally if I die!" She insisted.
"Huff. But I would lose you, so it wouldn't be worth it." As soon as I said that, her blush intensified.
'Good, now I can finally fight in peace... however, feeling her breasts against my chest, and her slim waist in my hand is quite an amazing sensation.' I almost lost my attention on the fight because of this.
"Do you know why I like humans? They are so easy to manipulate..." as soon as she finished saying that, a huge fog fell upon us, almost as if a giant was snorting his bad breath at me, darkness filled the entire scenery around me.
The only thing that I could feel, and see was Liza's body against mine, and her beautiful rainbow eyes that were glowing in the dark. Suddenly, a small child soon formed in the middle of the mist.
"All humans have a weakness. they all have something they love... "
The witch's voice resounded through the entire background.
Elizavetta turned to me.
"Be carefull! Baba Yaga is an manipulative witch! She will play with your feelings, and destroy your will to fight!"
Right after she told me that, the small child turned, showing a white haired, and white eyed kid.
'It feels like I am looking at a mirror... however, he is shorter...'
The child then opened his mouth.
"Why does mama not love me? Why does my family hate me?"
His words made me widen my eyes. Soon enough. multiple adult sized people appeared. Grayfia, Sirzechs, Venelana, Zeoticus, Akihito and Rias.
"How could such a monster be born from me?"
"You are a disgusting freak!"
"You dirty the reputation of the entire Devil race."
Multiple insults were thrown at me.
I simply smirked. "What an interesting ability."
