*Beasts are different from monsters. They are races that evolved from monsters and gained sentience. They have the ability to gain human forms or a race that they are close to. 

Example:- Phoenixes can become angels, Storm dolphins can become fish-men. They can also turn into the fey form of their own race

MAGIC

The system of magic runs on Mana. No mage can cast magic without the help of mana and using all the mana in ones core can cause the body of the mage to be paralyzed until enough mana is in the body for the mage to move.

There are 10 magic affinities:

Fire

Water 

Wind

Earth

Lightning

Darkness

Light

Time 

Space

Null

If a mage has dual elemental affinities in is core or 'double casts' with another mage, they can form a new affinity. They are: 

Fire + Earth = Metal

Fire + Earth = Magma/Lava

Water + Wind = Ice

Water + Fire = Mist/Fog

Water + Earth = Mud

Wind + Earth = Gravity

Light + Darkness = Shadow

There are also 'second forms' or 'awakened forms' of some affinities. They are:

Wind >> Sound

Water >> Ice

Fire (Path of the Beginning) >> Yellow fire, Cyan fire, Green fire, Azure fire, Purple fire.

Fire (Path of the End) >> Yellow fire, Orange fire, Red fire, Crimson fire, Black fire.

Space >> Abyss, Darkness, Shadow, Gravity.

Time >> Infinity 

*A mage can mix two or more elements to access the second form of another element.

Example:- Water + Wind = Ice, Water >>Ice. 

To access the second form of an element, a mage needs to obtain enlightenment but some prefer to go the easier way and mix elements.*

There are also 12 mana core grades:

Pure 

Weapons and Spells are classified from Tier 1-12 according to the mana core ranks.

Dungeon and Beast rankings

Beasts are grouped into ranks.

Dungeons are ranked based on the overall power of the beasts in them so a thousand SS rank beasts can make a low tier SSS rank dungeon.

For dungeons, an A rank dungeon can be classified into low tier, mid tier, high tier and peak tier. It is the same for the others.
