Chapter 4

I picked the bag and followed him.

There were lots of passages and lifts, the building was massive.

When we stepped out I found out the street was shockingly empty.

There were two cars waiting and he led me to the second.

Did I mention how fancy those cars were? Hell! Yeah I don't know much about cars but Damn! those stood out from every car I've ever seen.

I got into the back of the car and it was empty.

Owen came into the front, started the car and followed as the first car surged forward.

I've never seen such an empty street before and it dawned on me that I was nowhere close to my neighborhood.

Even if I had succeeded with the lock, my being captured back would have been inevitable because their was no means of escape.

And if I had a key to any of the cars it would have been useless because I can't drive.

All they had to do was to come right down and get me.

Will I ever escape them?

I shuddered at my own thoughts.

"Are you okay?" A voice asked, shaking me out of my reveries.

There was only one person in here with me so I knew it was Owen.

"If being kidnapped, prisoned and transported by people you don't know against your own wish is what you call been okay, then am okay."

"Yeah I know it sucks but when I first saw you, I felt the shock of my life"

"What the hell do you mean? Am pretty sure I wasn't in any Halloween costume." I spat.

"You know, you look like her but you girls are really different in character."

"I look like who?"

"Lina." He answered looking back at me."

"Who's that?."

"Uuhm... I really shouldn't be telling you this, not if the boss doesn't want it."

For once since this madness started am getting something that might help me understand what I've gotten into and he wants to back out? No way!

"Who is Lina and what have I got to do with her?"

"You shouldn't be bothered about her, you're safe."

I swear if someone tells me one more time about how safe I am, am gonna go crazy.

"Damn right am safe! how about you tell me what kind of danger I was in?

I wanna know exactly what you guys saved me from."

I was tired of the games.

"Forget what I said, it was stupid.

It's not something you should bother with."

I knew he was hiding something.

There has to be an explanation for all that has been happening to me since last night.

The boss, whoever he is seems to be the one setting the motion.

He kidnapped me.

He planted a camera in a room and sent me in there.

He's also the reason why Owen doesn't wanna tell me the truth!

'I shouldn't be telling you this, not if the boss doesn't want it.

Damn it!

I suddenly realized I had a allot of questions for this boss.

He got me into this mess and he's gonna get me out of it I concluded.

Where's your boss? I asked in my most gentle voice.

He turned to look at me and I could tell he was taken aback by my calmness.

"He's in the other car."

We drove into an open space where a helicopter was waiting.

It was my first time of seeing one and I stared at it in wonder.

I had mixed feelings, I was about to be on air with guys I don't know.

Heaven knows I don't trust them.

I wondered if I'll make it back alive.

I also wondered why I haven't seen anyone else but them since the kidnap.

I saw a look of dismay at the pilot's face when he looked at me and I saw him whispering to Owen who also turned to look at me.

I knew it had something to do with Lina and I couldn't wait to find out who she is and to know more about her.

It seems she has everyone around here on their edges.

I was led into the helicopter and I sat at the back.

I was a little nervous as it was my first time.

I placed my head on my knees, trying to hug myself but it was more like bowing than hugging myself.

I was waiting for the helicopter to take off.

When I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked up expecting Owen or the driver but the sharp jawline and lips struck out, it was the boss!
