Inner Cave

Revan: I'm not sure if it's safe. But the first thing we should test is if it is stable and not brittle

Revan picked a large stone from nearby and tossed it across the ice. Everything seemed just fine, the stone skid across the ice with ease. Next, Revan picked a much larger stone and used all his force to direct it into the ice.

BANG

Astonishingly, the stone was broken into smaller fragments and the ice was left completely untouched.

Revan: Could it be possible that the ice has remained the same ever since it formed

Revan put his hand closer and closer to the ice until he made contact with it. "Good, the heat isn't making it through the ice at all. It should be safe for us to walk across. Should we check to see what's in the cave over there?"

Penelope: If you're going I'm going too! You can't leave your frail little sister alone..... someone might even try to take advantage of her, and I know a good brother like you would never let that happen

Revan: Alright, alright that's enough talking. Stay behind me and if anything goes bad, I'll tell you to run. If you have to run, go directly back to House Lazos and tell Tao Tai about the situation

Penelope: Brother are you trying to scare me?

Revan: No, it's just a countermeasure just in case anything goes wrong, but it shouldn't

Revan had to say some words to keep his sister's heart calm. Even if he didn't necessarily believe what he was saying himself.

They took their time as they tiptoed across the ice covered magma beneath them. It wasn't long before they made it to the mouth of the cave.

Revan: Hopefully this isn't a cave that leads to another cave or else we might be going on and on, forever and ever, until one of us falls over from lack of nutrition. Wait what is that?

Right before they walked in they were hit with what felt like a cold gust. The weird thing is that the temperature only felt colder as time went on..... but the gust of wind only hit once. The inner walls of the cave were wet and slimy, they were disgusting to rub up against. The two of them also had to watch where they stepped because some spots on the ground were very moist, moist to the point of almost becoming like sand. They would step on these extremely wet spots and their feet would sink in and sometimes get caught in the wet mud-like ground.
