Derek's Suspicion

"In here, you are just assigned to clean tables. Remove empty plates and utensils... bring them there," Derek told the young lady and pointed to the side door. "If you work properly, we will give you a hundred for the two hours you are here. But if you don't work properly, we won't pay you."

"Well, I don't really need money. I am not interested in money. I will live without it," the young lady stated with a dissatisfied expression on her face. Her eyes wandered around the the staff inside, as if studying their movements.

"Haha..." Derek laughed and slightly shook his head. His tone was full of mockery. "If you don't need money, how come you are stealing people's purses in the street... You surely speak big words," He then pointed the side of his head and smirked, "Where is your brain? Use it!"

The young lady became quiet. Her expression reflected regret. In fact, she felt regretful for the words that came out of her mouth. She should not have mentioned it.
