When Sofia entered the classroom, their teacher was already preparing the tools for her lesson. One of her classmates was helping to adjust the projector while the teacher was looking at her laptop. The rest was busy with their phones or books, just waiting for the proper discussion of the teacher in their seats.

Sofia took a single step inside with a formal greeting to them, "Good afternoon, ma'am and fellow classmates!"

Then, she took a pause on the doorway and scanned the entire room, looking for an empty seat. 'The sitting arrangement changed?' she asked in her mind while not moving yet.

Weirdly, there were two desks in the center. One of them was in front which was for their teacher. But, there was also one on the center back, aligned to the teacher's desk. Such arrangement was not hard not to notice.
