Chapter 2 - The start of a brand new tale

Ze Dong slowly opened his eyes and could immediately feel the terrible quality of the Qi in the atmosphere.

"So I'm a mortal again." A slight smile appeared on his face. Although, he calls himself a mortal he is still incredibly strong regardless as he still had his overwhelming skill that allowed him to rule over everything despite being only an immortal.

Not only that, but he would get a boost in strength due to the new body he created. It was completely immortal such that it would be hard to destroy even for celestials, it contained celestial Qi, which would not only allow him to reach the celestial realms but also empower his attacks tremendously. Furthermore, although he was the most talented existence in his past life this body is far more talented. It contained the bloodlines of every beast within the 4 major realms without any of the the negative side effects that came with some of them and he had also given himself a heavenly constitution that allowed him to absorb Qi from anything whether that be monster cores or spirit stones at a much faster rate and without any loss of Qi. Although, this didn't sound like much he could absorb all Qi in existence meaning he could absorb things no other human could. This included attacks made out of Qi, thus making him practically impervious to all Qi based attacks.

This combination meant that he could easily reach the peak of cultivation in a matter of years.

However, Ze Dong didn't immediately sit down and cultivate, after all he wanted to enjoy the mortal and early cultivation life, it had been such a long time since he had experienced it and he wanted to see what it's like.

Ze Dong turned towards a seemingly random direction and continued walking until he arrived at a mortal village which only took around 10 minutes. Although, cultivators were sparse in this village there were still a few, with the strongest being a Sky spirit realm cultivator who seemed to be the chief, the one in charge of this tiny village.

Although he didn't give himself much when he reincarnated, he had still given himself a spatial ring that contained a couple spirit tokens and some spirit stones so that he could buy himself anything he didn't bring with him and not be completely helpless financially, along with some other necessities he thought would be useful.

He soon found himself a place to stay and opened up a hospital where he would work as a doctor for the next 10 years.

He soon found out that the spirit stones he had brought were completely useless as they were far too powerful and if not for the chief allowing him to temporarily stay at his place, Ze Dong would have robbed some random people, after all this is the cultivation world and the strong rule the weak. Luckily he didn't have to resort to that in the end.

"Thank you doctor" a mother said to him after Ze Dong treated her daughter.

"You're very welcome"

Despite living for 10 years he had barely aged.

Women were by far his most frequent customers, after all at his peak he was considered the most handsome man in the entire universe and although he looked younger in his new body he was still incredibly attractive.

'Sigh, it's been long enough I think I have experienced all there is to a mortal life. It's time to start the real journey of cultivation' he slowly sat down and began cultivating.

After just a couple of minutes Ze Dong reached the peak of the Master spirit realm before stopping completely. After all the Master spirit realm, although pretty common in elite sects as core disciples and sect elders was in the grand scheme of things incredibly powerful within this world and he didn't want to rush through too fast.

The mortal realms were as follows in ascending order:

-mortal spirit realm

-Earth spirit realm

-Sky spirit realm

-Master spirit realm

-Grandmaster spirit realm

-Lord spirit realm

-King spirit realm

Suddenly a pair of beautiful black flaming wings appeared behind his back before he took off into the night sky. These wings were wings from a night phoenix an incredibly powerful variation of the original phoenix which could reach the first stage of the celestial realms.

He didn't bother to say goodbye to anyone in the village as he had made no attachments in that place. Although he stayed there for a while in the eyes of mortals, 10 years could pass in the blink of an eye for an immortal who had lived as long as him and thus, at least in his eyes, he wasn't particularly close with any of the characters living there.

Ze Dong would not be able to fly using Qi until he reached the grandmaster spirit realm, however

using the wings this was not an issue.

He flew at an incredible speed which would be hard to spot even for peak Lord spirit realm cultivators and after a couple hours he had arrived at the closest elite sect. This elite sect was called the Profound Sword Sect, probably the most skilful sect with the sword on the entire continent.

Although unknown to most of the people staying on this planet there were a total of three continents on this planet. The southern continent(the continent Ze Dong was on), the northern continent, and the central continent. The central continent was the only continent containing King spirit realm cultivators as that was the only place with enough spiritual energy for it to be reached via normal means.

When Ze Dong arrived at the sect he landed away from everyone else, tucked in his wings and entered a queue that was packed with people.

This was the queue to begin the sect entrance exam, allowing one to become an outer court disciple.

"Hello brother, is this your first time attempting the sects entrance exam?" A slightly chubby man with a cheery complexion greeted Ze Dong as he appeared in the queue, Ze Dong didn't bother asking for his name as everyone around him was calling him fatty.

Fatty however didn't seem to mind and instead ignored the surrounding chaos to start a conversation with Ze Dong.

"Yes it is, how many times have you tried out?" He replied.

"This is my fifth time!" Fatty seemed to take pride in this achievement and he continued "however I am 90% certain that I will pass this time"

"Yes I'm sure you will", fatty was a 7th tier Earth spirit realm cultivator landing him as the one with the highest cultivation base applying to join the sect other than Ze Dong himself, furthermore, Ze Dong could tell that fatty frequently practiced with the sword due to the sharp aura he emitted.

'He must not be too talented if he still hasn't passed even after attempting 4 times then' although he admired his work ethic, Fatty was still but an inconsequential mortal and Ze Dong would leave his fate up to his own skill and hard work. Even then Ze Dong knew that fatty would pass this time due to his strength and moderately young age, he was after all only in his late 20s.

They quickly reached the end of the queue with fatty talking to him the whole time. When they finally entered the building that the queue led to, fatty and Ze Dong appeared inside of a hall full of desks each with a singular book on top of it. Most of these books were different and each one contained a comparatively powerful martial technique.

The first part of the entrance exam was to learn the martial technique given to you to the best of your abilities within a given period of time.

He soon took his seat at a desk when an old man with a sharp aura walked to the front of the hall quickly silencing any chatter from the examinees.

"Welcome to the Profound Sword Sect's outer court entrance exam!!!"
