A HOME TO RETURN

Xue and Captain Huo exited through the wide gates of the palace.

"Isn't it an inconvenience? I don't want to cause unpleasantness"

General Huo laughed "believe me no one will oppose you in the house, my wife has known of your existence since you arrived"

"That's weird, letters were exchanged every month I didn't expect you to mention me in them" Xue finished the sentence and despite the dirt on his face you could see that she was blushing.

"It's weird to see you being embarrassing, you are really adorable little one"

"Uncle" Huo patted her head and gave her a reassuring smile.

They were walking through the streets full of people thanking the soldiers for bringing peace, Xue and General Huo were mounted on their horses, together with a group of soldiers who were going almost in the same direction.

They arrived at a large house from the outside it was red, you could read on the sign of the Huo family house, they got off the horses and Tio Huo knocked on the door, immediately a shout crossed the silence outside and inside the residence "Ya I arrived, my lady, my lord has arrived "

Footsteps of people running could be heard approaching and suddenly the red doors of the residence opened wide, behind them you could see a young and lively young lady with completely red cheeks and a smile full of joy.

Xue couldn't help it if this war hadn't ravaged her home and her family would be so happy to receive her.

Behind the young woman came two men and a young woman, all with impeccable clothes and with happy smiles, but the young woman stood out with tears in her eyes.

The first young woman had a simple pale pink dress for day to day she quickly approached Mr. Huo "Dear so long no see, I have missed you so much"

Xue despite having a neutral face was very surprised inside her but her manners did not allow him to exclaim her surprise. Mrs. Huo looked behind her husband and saw Xue who was full of dirt and grime when she realized she immediately bowed her head and bowed.

"Greetings"

Mrs. Huo was surprised to hear Xue's voice "I thought he was a man"

Mrs. Huo approached and began to analyze and scan Xue from head to toe but she did not flinch,

"Looking at you closely you are a very beautiful girl, you can call me, Lin, or Mrs. Huo although I prefer the first one, welcome"

The three behind them introduced themselves.
