First Case

Three winter's back,

"M, take him in too. I found him there smoking pot. Nasty fellow", Euegin almost tossed the guy, he's in not so warm clothes for this winter night. The attire seems old too, smelly?

"Boy you smell like a living pot plant", I told the guy. His face is ducked behind his hooded top. But his long Ombre Dark Blond hairs were peeking outta there. Face is still unseen due to lack of proper lighting. We put him, including two more illegal drug paddlers inside our van and drove to my police friends shelter.

I looked at Euegin, he's wearing his usual over-baggy coat with hat,"Euegin, you think this kid in hoody was just smoking pots. And not a paddler? ha". I asked as I looked back at the guys tied back in the van, coming to their senses now.

Euegin stopped the car at the intersection and looked back, "Hey kid, where do you live ha? You hooded boy". The boy replied in a broken voice, "Mr. You whatever injected me. I swear you would regret it when I gain my full consciousness". Euegin started to laugh and as the lights turned green. "See, M. They are no good to talk". I just nodded expressionlessly and looked back at the guy for the last time. It feels he is looking straight at me from the dark of his hood.

We came down our van, Euegin decided to get the guys until I talk to my friend.

Sheriff Jack, a black man in his early fifties, my one of the oldest friend. When I first came in to Oster Bowen , I was five. He literally helped, raising me from a five year old who was lost in another sense if I think it now. From getting me into a school to a foster family to college to the field of my dream job, he was there always. Last week on his watch two drug paddlers broke out of jail due to this his job was at stake. So he came to me to help him.

Leaning against an old wooden high bench in an abandon garage, he was wearing his same ol uniform, all ironed and sleek looking. "Hey sheriff, we got your guys! You won't have to worry about your job anymore. They are all yours just like your job". As I finished Euegin handover all the three guys who we captivated for fled away, under sheriff's custody a week back. "Thank's M, thank's Mr. Euegin! You guys saved my pride. Or else I would have to resign from my post. I owe you this M", he finished and started to get this guys back in his van.

"Well thank's for helping me Euegin, I couldn't do it without you", I thanked Euegin as we walk towards our vehicle.

"Well you know, chief only assigned me with you to observe how you work. Not to mess my hands in it, lady", Euegin snickered as he closed the door of the van and leaned against it. Lit up his cigar & started to smoke it; Partagas Churchill De Luxe the most expensive ones out of our time.

Euegin's laugh made the contagious laughter out of me. He exhaled his breath, causing to spread the fog of the cigar in a slit way, at the atmosphere, he asked me again. "What are you laughing at now".

I bluntly brought my mouth freshening gum, "You said you were assigned to observe me, yet you were the one came up with the idea of tranquillizing them and use the police van for the sake of this mission". I tossed the gum up in the air and in a moment of flying and the work of constant gravity, it fell straight inside my mouth.

"Wow, you can do that", Euegin said as he stopped smoking his cigar. "Now tell me why were you laughing".

"Nothing, Let's mov-", before I was about finish sheriff came back with the unseen guy, whom we couldn't see because of his hoodie, but the lights in the garage now making it clear to see his face.
