CHAPTER 7 - PART 1

[SAMANTHA]

Time flies really fast and I really can't believe that it's already the last day for the special Saturday Math Classes! I can finally celebrate- I mean NO! I can't celebrate because I won't be seeing him anymore designing some stuff in their classroom. I'm currently arranging my things for the last day of the Saturday Math Classes while a certain One Direction song was playing loudly on my phone and I was singing with it. Then I did final fixes on my hair before I heard a loud knock on my door.

"Sis! Hurry up! We're going to be late!" I heard Sky yelled from the other side of the door.

"Alright, alright! I'll be right there!" I answered back while quickly grabbing my bag and my phone after stopping the music. I looked at the time and saw that it was already 8:30 AM so I literally rushed downstairs and I almost tripped down good thing Sage still had the chance to grab my small backpack and pulled me back avoiding the possible accident that can happen.

"Slow down li'l sis, we can still reach school in time." he said to me and smiled while patting my back.

So my brother was right, we arrived at school 10 minutes before classses starts so I went to my usual seat and waited for our teacher. First half of the class took an hour and a half then finally it was recess, back to my usual spot in the corridors then I got startled by the sudden light smack on my head with a pack of biscuits and when I turned to look who it was, I was surprised to see Anthony holding it. I gave him that 'what-do-you-want?' look and he just handed me the biscuits.

"That's my payment for that 20-peso treat last time" he simply said and then left. I was weirded out because this was the first time Anthony bought something for another person. I never seen him buying something for someone before even though he says that it's a payment for something. I really find it really odd so I just stared at it while holding the pack of biscuits in front of me.

"Oh and by the way-" he wasn't able to continue because I just smacked the pack of biscuits he gave to me earlier on his face out of surprise.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry Anthony, really, I swear!" I said while trying to touch his face which is burning red right now because of the hard smack I did to him. But I was surprised when he suddenly held my arm and his hands slowly slid down to grab my hand and I can feel that he was holding my hand tightly but not that much and not to mention we were like 2 inches away from each other at this moment.

"I'm fine." he softly said while staring into my eyes. I can start to feel that my heart was beating louder and faster for more than 20 seconds after I snapped back to reality and awkwardly let go of my hand from his.

"I uh.. yeah, sorry." I said then quickly returned inside the classroom feeling that all blood in my veins are rushing back towards my heart and I suddenly felt heavy inside. The hours after that I really can't focus on the next lesson that our teacher was discussing so I just looked out the wide open door again and saw the calming leaves that were swaying with the wind breeze. Then after several hours, the bell rang and it was finally time for dismissal.

"Hey sis, tell mom we're going home late today, need to finish up some stuff for class." Sky told me and I just nodded. Then I was about to leave when my brother suddenly called out to me again.

"By the way, have you seen Anthony? I need to borrow something from him." he asked then I suddenly had flashbacks about what happened earlier.

"N-NO?!" I answered then just ran upstairs to the 6th floor but when I was running I suddenly bumped into Chris who thankfully grabbed my arm before I can fall backwards to a huge amount of steps.

"What's the rush for?" he asked.

"Nothing." I answered then continued going up the stairs until I reached the 6th. I also didn't notice that Chris followed behind me.

When I arrived, I saw that all of them were there already so I just passed by outside so that no one will notice us but I got startled when Marjun suddenly waltzed out of their classroom.

"Oh my dear Samantha!~ You're already here!" he happily said in a singing voice.

"Psh- gay." I heard Chris uttered but we both heard it anyways.

"HEY! I HEARD THAT!" Marjun exclaimed at Chris.

"Well good, then you can finally say that you have ears!" Chris answered back sarcastically.

"I really hate you, ya'know" Marjun said then he just dragged me away from where Chris is but I can see that he was following us. Marjun dragged me here to another corner a little bit further from their classroom but we can still see the wide open door from here, so no one was currently using the chair that I placed in the corner beside the door. But to my surprise, I saw that one of George's friends sat there while holding his phone I think he was playing a mobile game or something, then I saw that Allyson's brother followed, then after that all of them was there including him!

So we are literally sitting just infront, but a few meters away, from them! And because of that, I just kept my head down the whole time avoiding to make eye contact from one of his friends and especially him. I was pretending to write something on the floor then I felt Marjun stood up but I didn't mind when suddenly:

"Hey Sam, look here!" I hear Marjun called out so the stupid me looked immediately and saw George was looking directly at me! So I immediately looked away but Chris can see that I was beginning to become red as a tomato once again so he kept on laughing and teasing me that I already wanted to kick his annoying face. A voice inside of me was asking myself the question: 'Why was he looking?' then I thought maybe because Marjun told him so but I was also thinking, 'Then why would he follow?' because most guys just ignore silly trips like that if they don't have interests in the person they are being teased to, right? I really don't know and all my adrenaline are rushing once again I don't know how will I pull myself together again.

Hours passed after that incident then it was finally time to go home. Marjun literally hugged me like we were never gonna see each other again. When I told him that he finally realized and he was like nothing had happened but he was so sweet to me, he even gave his number to me so we can still talk and gossip more so I was really happy. The following weeks to come will be all review days for them because of their upcoming mock exam for the college entrance exams, so they will definitely be very busy.

They will be taking the stairs on the other side of the building because it was much closer to the gates while Chris, my mom, and I will be taking the other flight of stairs on the other side of the building because it was much closer to the faculty office so we have to say goodbye from afar. Then Marjun suddenly yelled something to me which made this day even more unforgettable once again:

"HEY SAM! GEORGE WANTS TO SAY GOOD BYE TO YOU TOO!"

Marjun's voice was so loud that it can be heard all over the campus and all of his classmates were teasing him even Chris and my mom too! But I was just looking at him and I saw that he was also staring at me! His face has no emotions, but his eyes tells me everything, even though we were far apart, I can see that his eyes were focused at me and no one else so I literally just freezed at my spot until they were completely gone at the scene anymore. I just got all my senses back when Chris called for me, so I rushed down the stairs to catch up on them back to the faculty office.
