Despite He Juan telling him to wait inside the car, Mu Yuze opted to stand outside, his distant gaze fixated on the tranquil cemetery before him. When a faint chilling breeze blew, he tightened the coat around himself and rubbed his hands to generate some warmth, sniffling.
He had been steadily counting the time, noting that almost twenty minutes had passed since he left He Juan alone back there. He couldn't seem to shake off the image of the man's back from his mind. Standing before the three tombstones, He Juan had a faint gentle smile on his face, yet his entire body was shrouded in a thick aura of desolation and sorrow.
It was both a distressing and heartbreaking sight.
As unwilling as Mu Yuze was to leave He Juan behind, he understood that the man needed some time alone with his family. After all, he had not visited for the past seven years and most likely… this might even be his first time seeing his little brother's grave.
