"Reservation under Dana Hasegawa," she said as she approached the reception desk of The Ritz. Her passport was in her hand.

A man in an impeccable black suit smiled at her, his fingers dancing on the keyboard as soon as she gave her name. In not more than three minutes, he said, "Can we have an ID, please?"
