Corina woke up in a familiar bed, which was unfamiliar to her at the same time. By the dark, drab decor in the room, she understood she was in her grandfather's palace, but she couldn't understand why she had been kidnapped and forced against her will to enter the kingdom.
As she lay there, staring up at the ceiling, she wondered what his reasoning was for forcing her to come to Elurra. Had she done something wrong?
The princess scanned the room. She gasped and immediately sat up when she saw her mother seated in a large, plush chair in the corner. "Mama?"
Amelia smiled at the sound of her daughter's voice. "Oh. Corina. Come here, darling!"
Corina nodded and hopped out of bed. Her mother welcomed her with a warm embrace as she quickly ran to her. "Mama! What's going on?" She sobbed against her mother's shoulder and closed her bright, blue eyes. "Why are we in Elurra?"
