My Hot Male Lead Character

The drive home the following day was peaceful, and the landscape they passed through was breathtaking. Helena was often lost in thought, imagining how her novel would progress. She had developed the story of the male lead character well; however, she felt guilty about how she tortured Arthur's character in her novel.

As Arthur drove, Helena couldn't help but notice how his biceps flexed with every turn of the wheel. She had always found him attractive, but today, something felt different. Maybe it was because she craved to write an explicit scene involving a male character with similar features, or perhaps it was the way he had leaned over and licked her clit last night. Whatever it was, she couldn't deny the desire building inside her.

Helena and Arthur had been journeying for days, their conversations ranging from the future to the past, nature to the stars. "This is so freeing," Helena sighed contentedly.

"You look like you've made some peace with yourself," Arthur commented, studying her expression intently.

"Yes, I suppose I have," Helena replied, smiling softly. Then she hesitated before continuing, but the words came spilling out anyway. "I can't wait to continue writing my novel when we get home... I'm obsessed with my male character."

Arthur's eyes lit up with understanding. "Should I be jealous?" he asked naughtily.

Helena chuckled and averted her gaze. "I don't know, really. Maybe because my male character now was a hottie just like you. Tall and handsome, musculature body with 6-pack abs, blue irises, defined jawline, and short blonde hair," she answered with a naughty smile.

"If only that man is alive, I wouldn't allow him to breathe the same air as you."

"Should I be afraid?" She laughed

"No, I was just kidding," he answered quickly.

"Oh, you! You're such a dork!" Helena exclaimed, smacking his arm playfully. "Anyway, I'm so excited to continue writing my novel. It's going to be awesome!"

"I'm sure it will be," Arthur was now laughing.

Helena was taken aback by Arthur's sudden outburst of laughter. "What are you laughing at?" she asked, irritated.

"I was just thinking of how you described your male lead in your novel. I'd say you're quite a creative writer."

"Well, thank you," Helena said, looking forward and smiling.

"Would your male lead character be as handsome as me?" Arthur asked suddenly, with a smirk on his face.

Now, it was Helena's time to laugh. Imagining her novel character was based on Arthur's physique. The only difference was the length of his hair. Instead of long, she made his character blonde short hair.

"What's funny?" Arthur asked curiously.

"Nothing, he is just a fictional character. You are the most handsome man in San Antonio now. No one can beat that."

Arthur smiled and gave Helena's hand a squeeze. "I'm glad you think so," he whispered softly.

"I know I do," Helena smiled, her eyes locked on him. "By the way, I created my male character based on your physique. Haven't you noticed what I described earlier was close to your physical appearance?"

"What are you talking about?" Arthur asked, confused. "How did it happen?"

"I started creating my current novel the day I met you at the Farmer's market," Helena said, giggling.

"Is that so?" Arthur thought for a while. "Now, I get it. Why do you always laugh every time you talk about your novel."

It made Helena laugh even more. "You got it. I can't wait to write my novel. I will make sure my male lead character will compete with you. Never mind, I'm going to change his physical appearance."

"So you're saying I'm too good-looking to be a character in a novel?"

"No. It's not that. If you're uncomfortable, I can change my character's appearance."

"It's fine with me. You keep it. I don't want you to get stressed because you keep rewriting your characters. It would add more work on you."

"Thank you, I appreciate that."

Helena stepped out of the car, feeling an immense warmth enveloping her as they approached the beach house. Arthur opened the front door for her and followed close behind. She felt comforted by his presence beside her.

She walked close to the sand, pausing to appreciate its soft texture beneath her feet and inhaling the salty air with appreciation. "Thank you, Arthur. The camping was very relaxing."

Arthur smiled at her and nodded gratefully. "Same here, Helena. Thanks for coming for the camping trip," he said before tracing a finger on her cheek.

"It was the best experience I've had so far. I appreciate your effort in making me comfortable and catering to my needs. It has helped me boost my motivation to write again, broaden my view of life, and help me relax and reclaim my mindfulness."

"It's my pleasure," he replied. "We are in this together, and I am here for you every step of the way." He gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, tracing his finger down her jawline as he looked into her eyes.

The shivers that ran through Helena's body were like a mixture of fear and anticipation. She wanted to go towards Arthur, but simultaneously, she felt the urge to keep her walls up. She had been hurt once before by someone who said they cared about her - Israel - and she couldn't endure it again. Although they did everything that lovers would do, she hasn't confessed to Arthur about her confusing feelings.

Arthur seemed to sense the conflict that was going on inside her because he gently took both her hands in his own and told her, "Helena, you can trust me. I know how it feels to be hurt by someone you love, and I promise I will never hurt you."

Helena let out a tear as she realized that taking a chance on love wasn't such a bad thing after all. But still, there was something deep inside of her that stopped her from truly trusting him - was this relationship going to last? Could she really risk being hurt again? She looked into Arthur's eyes uncertainly, unsure if she should take a chance on love or run away forever…

Helena sighed and looked at Arthur before speaking. "Arthur, I'm sorry if it feels confusing to be with me. Like I'm hot and cold at the same time..."

Arthur smiled understandingly and nodded. "Hush..." he cut her off. "I understand. We can talk about this later on when you are more comfortable. For now, would you like to take a dip?"

Helena's heart skipped a beat as she thought of swimming in the sea with Arthur.

Arthur gently took Helena's hand in his, intertwining their fingers and softly rubbing his thumb against hers. He gave her an encouraging smile before continuing. "There's still plenty of things we can do together by the beach - how about we sunbathe, for example? It might be just what we need to relax a bit."

Helena took a deep breath of salty air before finally nodding in agreement. She grabbed Arthur's hand and walked along the shoreline.

They lay side by side, their bodies touching as they looked up into the sky above, contemplating its eternal beauty while getting lost in conversation.

After a while, Helena took Arthur's hand. "Let's dip just like we were in the river."

Arthur immediately recalls what they did on the riverbank, which sparks a naughty smile on his lips as he lets himself be dragged by Helena to the water.
