The hatred they have for each other burns deep within them but with destinies entwined it just might turn to something else. *** He smirked and looked down at her, a devilish smile in his eyes that set her nerves frantic. "Since you find my servants unsuitable to serve your needs, you might be the best person to serve them yourself." "Ex... excuse me?!" she spluttered in shock. "Dimitri. she will be washing her clothes herself and will be cleaning her room as well." he said turning to his most trusted servant. “I am quite sure she is capable of running her bath and dressing herself... " "How dare you?... " she asked harshly at the insult. "Would you like to prepare your meals and perhaps do the dishes as well?" Kieran asked looking back at her with a glint in his eyes. But she remained silent and shocked beyond belief. "I thought as much. Well we will be leaving you to your chores." he said stepping on her clothes as he walked out with the maid and Dimitri. "And by the way," he said stopping just outside the door. "I'd hate to see my castle looking untidy. So unless you wish to face the consequences, I suggest you do a good job." This time he walked off without stopping and the sound of her screeches echoed off the walls. *** Please support this author and check out my other books *Twisted Secrets(Mafia Teen fiction filled with lots of mystery and secrets. Leonard hurried down the wide stairs of the palace. His horse stood feeding on the grass. He rubbed his hand down the horses mane. As he looked up past the horse he saw two cloaked female figures walk past the guards at the gate but they didn't seem to have noticed them. He didn't keep his gaze on them instead he mounted the horse and hurried to the field where the princess was waiting to begin her training.

The king of Haven's Peak sat in his study going through the reports of his kingdom and the petitions of his people which were always sent to him by the councilmen and magistrates of the different towns.

In every town, there was a magistrate and each councilman headed not less than five towns depending on how reliable they were.

He looked at the petitions being made and read them thoroughly.

He frowned as he took note of the reports of abuse made by his people regarding some of the councilmen, magistrates and those of higher standing in the society.

He dipped the fountain pen in ink, going on to grant some petitions further investigation and some he had to drop as the lack of evidence was much.

Sometimes the councilmen and magistrates as well as the rich people in the society used the poor by having them write reports that were untrue against the others. This was why the king did not let anyone other than himself review all the reports and petitions made. He didn't want anyone messing up investigations as a result of their greed.

He dropped his pen and stood up to get a glass of the oldest wine in his study which was carefully hidden by some of the books on one of the shelves.

As he replaced the bottle and went back to his chair with the glass in his hand, two figures passed through the wall.

They came before him as he took a sip of the rich wine. The hood came off their head and a light seemed to shimmer down removing the protection of the cloak of invisibility.

The king looked at them and they curtseyed paying obeisance to the him.

" Greetings to the king. " both of them said with their eyes to the ground.

" How did it go? " he asked folding his hand under his chin.

" Successful. " one of the sisters with blue eyes and blonde hair replied. " We found books on dark magic as well as ingredients for dark magic which can only be found in Ivy's garden. We even brought samples " she said dropping a sack on the floor. " Dark magic is prohibited in this kingdom and is punishable by death. If that is not enoughto have councilman Ernest arrested for treason then your majesty, I should have you know that we also found enough criminating evidence that councilman Ernest has been helping the Eradains. " she said presenting a thick file filled with plans and messages exchanged between both parties.

" You have done a good job as usual. " the king complimented.

They bowed their heads slightly in thanks.

" You and your sisters have been a great help to my kingdom and we all will continue to stand by you as you have stood by us. " he said gratefully.

" It's an honor to be able to help a kingdom such as yours. We believe in the cause our sister Marianne fought for before she sacrificed her life to save the princess. We will do the same. We will stand by you and princess Clarissa. She might not have inherited her mother's powers but still let her know that she can count on us to help her when the need arises. " she said bowing once more. "

" Thank you. " he replied solemnly.

" Your majesty if I may? " the other dark haired sister who seemed younger said looking a bit pale.

" Speak "

" We have had our sister following him for weeks now. He sometimes goes into the clearing in the forest and spends a couple of minutes or more there but whenever she tries to follow him in, she's unable to. It seems to always be blocked off with a barrier of sorts. The last time we spoke, she said she felt dark magic. She said she had a feeling that they were planning something. "

Everyone knew that once a witch turned dark they lost the gift of light and every spell cast by them carried an aura of darkness which only the sisters of light and dark witches as well as those born of magic such as the fey and elves could sense.

" But the problem is that she didn't meet us at the palace gates as we had planned. I feel that she might be in danger. " she said sounding very worried.

" I will have some of the guards search for her and then send some others to search for councilman Ernest. " the king said standing up.

He opened his study and they went out in haste to an empty hall.

" Guards! " two appeared immediately. " Send someone to my daughter and Leonard. Have her… "

As the king was yet speaking, the blonde sister of light looked up as her eyes rolled back into her socket to become white. " I sense danger " she said in an ominious tone void of any emotion.

Her hands glowed white emitting a bright light.

Her sister became alert and the marking of the moon on her arm glowed bright.

The sound of death soon surrounded them. Cries of pain and tears were heard and more guards came to protect the king from the enemies they were yet to see.

They moved through the corridors quickly wanting to get the king to a safe place and there finally met three of their attackers. They were covered in black clothing. One out of the three had a scar running down the side of his face.

He smirked as the bones in his hand rearranged themselves to form claws.

Four of the guards quickly tried to go on attack.

The scarred man twisted one guard's arm to the back and shot him with the gun he'd wanted to use on him. Then he grabbed and twisted his head to the side effectively ending his life. The other two met the same fate in the hands of the other two men.

" Sisters, how about we let you live and you let us through? " the man asked stalking them slowly.

" That deal is not acceptable. " the younger sister replied and sent the three men flying backwards.

They stood up looking very angry and the man said. " Well you just chose your death. "

They moved so fast the guards could barely react. In no time, some had their throats slit by the men's claws and some were stabbed mercilessly with sharp knives.

The last guard who did his best fighting to protect the king was sent flying to the ground by an invisible force as he stood up he found himself in front of a dark witch who smiled into his face as she placed her hand on his heart and ripped it out.

She looked at the king who looked scared and said. " Now who is going to save you? "

At that moment a sharp whistling sound tore through the air and one of the werewolves fell to the ground with a silver knife in the back of his head.

A shot rang out and the other man fell to the ground as well.

The scarred man looked at the king angrily and dived out the window. As he did this the sound of the gun going off rang in his ear and the bullet met his shoulder.

The witch seeing as she was outnumbered tried to escape but the older sister of light sent the light from her arms her way burning her to her death.

The king looked up to see his daughter staring angrily at the bodies on the ground.
