Nine of them knelt on one knee, while one stood at the front, gazing at the cityscape below.

"Shade Lord, I just sent some men to investigate... It seems Kali Bloodwrath and her entire team have been wiped out..." one of the subordinates reported, his voice trembling with shock.

Shade, with his back to the nine subordinates, showed no reaction upon hearing the news.

"Hahaha..."

After a few seconds, he let out a satisfied laugh and said, "That wretched woman is finally dead, saving me a lot of trouble."

After laughing for a while, Shade asked, "Do we know who killed her?"

"The scene was chaotic, and we have no information yet," the subordinate replied. "But whoever did it must be very powerful to take down Kali Bloodwrath and her entire team..."

"So what?" Shade sneered. "Our objective in Lake City is singular: the vessel."
