Chapter ７

Linda's POV

"Wait, wait, well, I'll prove to you that I'm not gay, let me take you out on Friday night, we will go to a game, I'll order a pizza, and then treat you like a girlfriend completely." His words made me very incomprehensible, or something was wrong with him. 

"Give me a good reason." He wants to take me to the game. Why should I go with him unless he convinces me? 

Whether "Because I'm Different" is really different, or his blind confidence, I can test him, because he makes me not believe it. 

"Really? Well, what colour are my eyes?" Before I finished speaking, I immediately carried him behind my back. Since he is so confident that he is different, now is the time for him to prove himself. I want to see what he wants.

"Your eyes are brown when I first see them, but when the light shines on them, they turn amber." Speaking of which, I hesitated. What he said seems to be a little similar, "And if you really look at the iris of your eyes very closely, it is like pure honey color, but when you look at the sun, they look almost green, which is my favorite color." Listening to his confession statement, it is so clear that my face starts to feel hot. Perhaps it is because he is a doctor that he will say so clearly. I pulled the broken hair beside my ears, and there was no wave in my heart. I don't know why. I turned my head to face him. 

"How is it?" His confident eyes seem to be asking for my answer.

"I am satisfied even if you only said brown." He can say so much, and he must have seen me often and found me, I think so.

"Peanut, let him go." A dog barked. I looked down and panicked. Well, it grabbed Donald's leg and didn't let go.

"Let go, let go," Donald yelled as he tossed his leg, trying to toss the dog away. If I hadn't pulled it away, he would have suffered, even though he had been bitten a little. 

I read from an article that if you’ve been bitten by a dog, it’s important to tend to the injury right away to reduce your risk of bacterial infection. You also should assess the wound to determine the severity. 

In some instances, you’ll be able to administer first aid to yourself. In other cases, you’ll need immediate medical treatment.

Whether the dog is yours or someone else’s, you may feel shaken after being bitten. If you need medical attention, call for help rather than driving yourself to the doctor or hospital.

In addition, the first thing you should do following a dog bite is to put distance between yourself and the dog. That can eliminate the chances that you may be bitten again. But of course, the dog was not mine but I knew them so it's fine. I will make sure that he will not get bitten again. 

Once there’s no longer an immediate threat, it’s important to determine if the dog has been inoculated against rabies. Of course the dogs that I walk with were already vaccinated. 

If the dog’s owner is nearby, ask for the dog’s vaccination history, making sure to get the owner’s name, telephone number, and veterinarian’s contact information. If possible, also ask to see some sort of ID. That's already done, I'm sure the dog that bit him is getting enough nutrients and vaccines. 

Of course, it’s also possible to be bitten by your own dog. For this reason, make sure to keep up with your dog’s rabies inoculations. Even a friendly, gentle animal may sometimes bite. 

In the case earlier, I think the dog was just mad or because he didn't know him that's why he bit him. But I am sure it is nothing serious. 

"I'm sorry he bit you. I mean, they've all had injections. It should be okay." It was so unfortunate that it hurt him, so now I took him and some dogs to my room to treat his wound.

"Seriously, don't worry, it's just a little skin." He said it didn't matter, but the dog I pulled bit people. I can't ignore it. In that case, I am too cold-blooded and ruthless.

I am trying to remember the article before about the first aid of a dog bite. The type of first aid you administer will be determined by the severity of the bite.

If the skin wasn’t broken, wash the area with warm water and soap. I can also apply an antibacterial lotion to the area as a precaution.

If the skin was broken, wash the area with warm soap and water and gently press on the wound to promote a small amount of bleeding. This will help flush out germs.

If the bite is already bleeding, apply a clean cloth to the wound and gently press down to stop the flow. Follow up with an application of antibacterial lotion and cover with a sterile bandage.

All dog bite wounds, even minor ones, should be monitored for signs of infection until they’re completely healed. I said in my mind. I was so busy treating him that I did not notice him staring at me. When I looked up, I saw him looking at me then looking at the surroundings, which is already my room. 

When I am almost done, I notice that the one thing I need is not beside me. So I stood up and looked for it. 

When I took a peek at what he was doing inside my room, I said, "Get out." 

Since I saw him go inside checking my things. It should not be the behavior of a man especially if they are in other people's rooms. Much more, I am a girl, so I don't need him rummaging through my stuff. 

"Have you just moved in?" He looked at the brand-new tables and chairs next to me and asked me that as a girl, she would always take care of these furniture.

"No, I've been moving in for a year and a half." I took my bag off my shoulder and threw it on the table

"Nice place." I chose my own room. Of course, it's nice. I only say this because it's nice to have a place to stand.

"I should have hydrogen peroxide here." As an independent girl, I will prepare some petty belongings in case of emergency, so I can find hydrogen peroxide to treat his wound.

"What is this?" He picked up something on my desk.

"I am a yoga teacher." I answered. 

"What do you do as a yoga teacher by the way?" He asked casually as if he is interested in being a yoga teacher.
