He needed to feel at ease

Luna quickly went to inform Ms. Mehna. After receiving the report, Ms. Mehna quickly rushed toward the garden along with a group of housekeepers to investigate the matter.

As they arrived at the scene, they found Emma and David sound asleep, cuddled up next to each other like two lovebirds in their nest. The sight was so heartwarming and enchanting that they didn't have the heart to interrupt their peaceful slumber.

The couple looked adorable, lost in their dream world, oblivious to the hustle and bustle around them.

However when they were lost in thoughts. David felt their presence of them and quickly got up.

"Young master.." As Ms. Mehna was about to speak she was suddenly cut off by David.

He then rose, gently lifting Emma into his arms, and proceeded to carry her back to his room.

Holding Emma so close to his chest filled David's heart with a peculiar sense of bliss and contentment. Watching her sleep like an innocent child, David felt as though he was cradling a sleeping beauty in his arms, basking in the ethereal radiance of the moonlight that illuminated her delicate features.

His hands felt protective yet cautious as he carried his precious companion to her quarters.

Upon arriving in their room, David carefully laid Emma down on the soft bed and draped a warm quilt over her figure to ensure her comfort. Once she was settled, he made his way over to the cozy sofa situated in the corner of the room.

David sat down and rested his head on the back of the sofa, letting out a sigh of relief. With his gaze fixed on Emma's tranquil form, he felt a sense of tranquility wash over him.

The peacefulness of the night, the warmth of their cozy room, and the presence of his beloved Emma by his side were all he needed to feel at ease.

Then he too closed his eyes and slept.

As Emma awakened from her slumber, her eyes shifted toward the spot where David has settled the previous night.

However, much to her destiny, the sofa was bare, and David was nowhere to be seen.

A twinge of sadness washed over her, and she couldn't understand why.
