Chapter 81: Buying Seeds

Zhao Hai discussed with Zhao Qian, while Green and Meg observed from the side. They were puzzled and didn't understand what was going on. Zhao Hai then explained, "I turned that fellow into an Undead Creature, but unexpectedly, when I stored him in the Space, he underwent Level Up, increasing his combat strength. However, he no longer remembers his past, so we couldn't obtain any information from him."

Green nodded and asked, "It's alright that we couldn't get any information this time. I believe those who attacked us once will surely try again in the future. We'll have another chance to find clues. Young Master, let's go back now. We should tell Miss Laura about what happened today and ask for her help."

Zhao Hai agreed, "You're right. Let her investigate thoroughly. It's not only important for us, but also for her. Okay, let's head back." He then summoned Alien and they headed towards Stony Mountain.

By the time it was getting dark, Zhao Hai and his group had returned to Stony Mountain. However, Zhao Hai had no plans to go to Casa City immediately. He decided to wait for Laura to return and finish discussing the cooperation matters with her before starting their expedition to Black Wasteland.

Zhao Hai wasn't completely accustomed to life outside of Stony Mountain yet. In China, he lived in one of the safest countries in the world, but here, he constantly felt unsafe. Just going out for a simple walk almost got him killed due to poison. It made Zhao Hai realize that this world was much more dangerous than he initially thought.

After their return to Casa City, the surveillance on Stony Mountain was relaxed. The Dark mist that covered the mountain made it impossible for anyone to see what was happening inside. Therefore, those monitoring the mountain couldn't tell what Zhao Hai and the others were doing. As a result, they didn't dare to approach.

In the past, when the Dark mist hadn't covered the entire mountain, people could see that it was guarded by numerous Undead Creatures. Now, with the Dark mist concealing everything, nobody dared to climb the mountain, fearing the unknown dangers lurking within.

Only a few people knew about the incident with the poisoned wine. Zhao Hai and his group had become low-key and stopped engaging in any extravagant activities. People in Casa City were somewhat anxious about this sudden change.

In Casa City, those who paid attention to Zhao Hai's actions were not afraid of him making bold moves. They believed that the more extravagant he became, the more he would expose himself. Thus, they weren't worried. However, when Zhao Hai suddenly became low-key and inactive, people grew concerned. They couldn't figure out his intentions and became anxious.

But for Zhao Hai and his group, they were not worried at all. They kept themselves busy on Stony Mountain, where there was nothing they could use. The only valuable resources were the Stoneheads, which they used to make millstones and grinding pans. The rest was taken to Black Wasteland to be used in the castle construction.

In Black Wasteland, there was no shortage of resources. The Dwarf Race had already mined almost everything in the mountain range, so Zhao Hai and his group were happy to find a place like Stony Mountain, which was full of resources.

While they were busy on Stony Mountain, the people outside were continually watching them, but they weren't concerned. Zhao Hai and his group showed no sign of leaving the mountain, so the observers felt that there was nothing to worry about. As long as they saw the Dark mist shrouding the mountain, they felt at ease. Nobody dared to climb up and investigate, fearing what dangers might lie within the mist.

However, Zhao Hai had other plans. He had Green dress up in a full-body armor and travel to Casa City under the cover of darkness. Green knew that he couldn't enter the city at night, but he wasn't concerned about it. He had no intention of reaching Casa City by nightfall anyway.

Although Green was an 8th level Warrior with strong Battle Qi, he was still a human. Traveling for two days straight was tiring, and even with Battle Qi, he needed to rest.

After half a night of travel, Green found a place to rest and resumed his journey the next morning. With his skills, he could reach Casa City before evening fell. Luckily, the city gates were still open when he arrived.

Green, disguised as an ordinary adventurer, paid the city tax and entered Casa City without arousing suspicion. He found a small hotel to stay in since many adventurers entered Casa City daily, either completing missions or looking for food. Therefore, his presence went unnoticed.

After a day of continuous travel, Green was exhausted. He rested in the hotel overnight and had a simple breakfast the next morning before heading to the seed store in Casa City.

Casa City was a large city, but it didn't have an extensive selection of agricultural tools and seeds. Similar to other capital cities, farming wasn't a major industry in Casa City, so the variety of tools and seeds available was limited.

Green searched for a while and found a general store that sold a wide range of seeds, which saved him a lot of time. On the entire continent, there were only a few commonly used types of seeds, totaling over ten varieties. However, Green didn't need to buy Oil Fruit Tree and alfalfa seeds since they were already available in the Space. As for Magic Vegetable seeds, there were over 30 types on the continent, and only Magic Radish was already available in the Space.

In total, Green needed to buy around 50 types of seeds. Although the prices for ordinary crop seeds were cheap and affordable, only costing a few copper coins per jin (0.5 kg), the prices for Magic Vegetable seeds were expensive. Usually, they cost several silver coins or even more than ten silver coins per jin (0.5 kg).

Green didn't plan to buy large quantities of these expensive Magic Vegetable seeds. He only needed to buy a small amount. If he bought too much, it would raise suspicions. As long as he had some to plant in the Space, it would be enough.

Green didn't need to worry about transportation since he could carry the seeds himself. With his skills, the weight wasn't a problem. However, it was fortunate that the seeds were complete, as it saved him from needing any special equipment to carry them.

After purchasing the seeds, Green also bought some practical tools and left Casa City. After a day of travel, he stopped for a short rest at night and then hurried back towards Stony Mountain.

In the early hours of the morning, Green returned to Stony Mountain. This was the time when the surveillance on the mountain was the most relaxed. People didn't expect Zhao Hai and his group to act at night, so most of the monitors were resting.

This gave Green a perfect opportunity to enter Cyan Stone Villa without being noticed. However, he didn't disturb anyone and found a place to rest instead.

Green was the only one who could do this. If anyone else tried to sneak into Cyan Stone Villa, they would be immediately discovered by Drunk and the hundreds of Undead Creatures stationed on the mountain. But Green didn't face any obstacles and peacefully settled in for the night.

The next morning, Green woke up a bit later than usual. After two days of continuous travel, he was exhausted. Even with Battle Qi, he still felt tired. Therefore, he decided to rest for a while. He had already bought the seeds, so there was no need to rush.

Meanwhile, Zhao Hai knew that Green had returned, but he didn't rush to find him. He understood that Green had been working hard for the past two days, and he didn't want to disturb him. He wanted Green to rest well.

During this time, Zhao Hai had been relatively leisurely. He spent his time in the Space, harvesting vegetables and managing the farm. He had also been busy with the quarrying and processing of stones to make millstones and grinding pans. His physical condition was weak at the moment, making it difficult for him to handle heavy tasks. However, he was able to cook meals for the slaves using the variety of vegetables in the Space. This helped improve their morale, as they enjoyed the occasional change in flavors provided by the new vegetables.
