WONDERS INDEED, SHALL NEVER END

I was asleep, when someone woke me up and I looked and called my mom's name then hugged her happily then she said we had to leave.

"But I thought the doctors said I should stay."I said.

"Yeah mom, what's the rush?"Alex, who happened to be with us, asked.

She kissed and hugged both of us then said,"It's a surprise."

Alex was over the moon, but I just crammed several thoughts into my own head, wondering what the surprise could be and giving myself a headache.

She snuck us down the hallway and hid us behind a wall as some doctors passed by, and I...the both of us, couldn't help but realize her hurried pace as she ' casually ' checked out at the lobby then walked away with us.

"Mom..."Alex called,"... what's that blinky thingy you put on the monitor?"

"Oh, it's a nightlight they gave us for Felix's room, I was just returning it."

I hadn't realized any nightlight in my room the entire time I was there, then again, it could have been because I spent four fifths of the time asleep.

She got us into the backseat of her car then started it as several staff were running to us from the hospital, then she revved the engine and reversed out of the parking lot.

The doctor called the number again then said,"They're on the move!"

"So are we..."

My mom had been driving for several seconds when I asked,"Mom, aren't we going home to pack our stuff?"

"Oh, the surprise is this way, I just want to liven the mood before we begin packing."

"Okay mom."I said.

She turned her focus back to the rearview mirror then her eyes slightly widened, then squinted as she saw a row of cars and motorcycles heading our way.

She began to accelerate the car and I was sucked into my seat as two motorcyclists came to the sides of the car, then started ordering my mom to stop.

I thought we were being arrested, but my mom didn't seem in the mood to go to court for a speeding ticket.

She drifted to the left, making the back and hood of the car crash into the cyclists and turning into the next road.

I yelled in fear and asked my mom what was happening then she looked back briefly then said,"It's adult stuff, you'll get it when you're older."

She was thrown forward when the back of the car was hit by another, then she saw two coming to the sides, she just accelerated and they crashed into each other and into the one at the back.

Several other vehicles started coming forward and Alex then asked,"Mom, what's going on?!"

"Honey, it's..."

"Mommy, I'm scared."I said with tears in my eyes.

She had to look back again then widened her eyes and yelled for us to get down as the glasses exploded and so as the tires.

The car crashed into a road divider then somersaulted in the air before landing on its back.

My mom crawled to the backseat then broke through the already shattered window as the door couldn't open, then she beckoned the two of us to come to her.

I came out, but Alex was stuck.

My mom looked up as traffic was stirring and people were coming to help.

Some helped Alex out, but the crowd immediately dispersed when guns were sounded.

My mom told Alex and me to run as the people came closer.

I already knew what guns were and what they could do but I slowed down,.I couldn't run, I was tired, sleepy, exhausted, like I had been running nonstop all day.

My mom picked me up then ran through a market and got into an abandoned building.

She hid Alex and me behind some renovation debris and placed her finger on her lips for us to keep quiet, then left.

I almost cried for her to come back but Alex covered my mouth, whispering for me to listen.

I just wanted to go back home.

Black SUVs and sports cars parked outside the building and several people in white masks walked out.

They entered the building by order of a single man in a tuxedo, armed and cautious.

They entered the dark building, only illuminated by the dim street lights from several meters away.

We couldn't see anything apart from the laser guides on the weapons they were using then there was a yell and a crumbling and cracking sound.

All the men looked back and saw a man on the floor, his mask broken and stained with blood.

One tapped him as the others formed a circle around him then the man yelled for a split second as his neck was snapped then he fell, lifeless.

The other men looked back and heard something falling and looked back to see someone run out of the building.

They followed after my mom and I almost screamed for her to look out, but because Alex's hand was still pressed on my mouth, I couldn't make a sound.

My mom stumbled down the stairs and looked at the men as the targeted their weapons at her as she begged for them not to hurt her, one asked,"Where are the boys?"

"Please don't hurt my sons, I..."She said.

They knocked her to her knees and straightened her head up to look at a man in a silver tuxedo, walking out of one of the cars with a purring cat in his arms.

He then said,"Felicia Oppong, or should I say N'dalak Neruheim? Assassin and super soldier, trained in every way you can think of and here you are, at my mercy...how does it feel to be out of your game?"

She smirked as his face was right next to her's then said,"I got you here, didn't I?"

She then headbutted him in the nose and before one could shoot her, she gripped his weapon and targeted his comrades then she kneed him in the torso and threw him over, to use him as a human shield for all the bullets rained at her.

She then ran and side stepped on a car, before kicking a man across the face and snapping his neck from the force.

She dive rolled behind the closest car then saw his gun right next to her and it sent chills down her spine as the name rang in her head,' N'dalak Neruheim '...

She was never going back...

She was awoken to reality when the windows of the car exploded as someone jumped on the roof.

The person started shooting down in all directions then looked down and she pulled him from below and crashed him, back first into a rock.

She did a butterfly hook kick to a man then gave him a double Brazilian kick then drop kicked him in the chest ans did a kip up to her feet.

One of the men tried to kick her in the side but she caught his foot then snapped his knee with her elbow and pulled him closer and rammed her elbow into his face till it was mangled beyond recognition, then low kicked the nearest one to her and did a 540 spin kick to him.

She landed and faced the boss, who was the only one left then said,"It's just you and me now."

"Maybe then..."He said,"...but not right now."

A chilling aura spread around as the bodies of the men just.stood.up and cracked their bodies back into shape, all of them.

She looked at them then heard a scream and her heart sank as she heard Alex and me struggling, she looked at the first man she killed, holding us by the collar and dragging us away.

She screamed then ran to the men and jumped and did a quadrupole step kick, but one of them caught her foot as she twirled then kicked him again.

She landed then did a back handspring and landed, knee first, into the chest of the one she kicked last and rammed her elbow into his face, severally.

Three men brought out knives and attacked her at the same time then she caught one's knife wielding wrist and thrusted it into another's thigh, then head butted him and threw him over her shoulder to the floor.

One tried to kick her side but she raised her knee and immediately gave him a tornado kick in the side and he fell to one knee as she just kneed him in the side of the head.

She back kicked another then punched him several times before throwing him onto the first and ducking to dodge a sword swipe.

She caught the man's wrist while he was still imbalanced, twisted it and elbowed him in the side of the head before throwing him down and stabbing him through the heart with his own sword and stabbing through the groin of the nearest man to her.

She saw Alex and me screaming her name as they dragged us into a van then she screamed and I yelled her name as a man stabbed her in the back.

She fell to her knees and propped herself on her palms as tears hit the floor, she then screamed and swept the man by the legs and grabbed his own knife and thrusted it through his own oesophagus then slit it, before using it to defend against another's attack, then she used her last strength to punch the man into the others behind him, then fell again, this time, not getting back up.

Alex and I called for our mother as bags were placed over our heads and we were shoved into the vehicle then the man grinned and walked over her body, as the blood slowly started flowing back into her veins.

"Wrap her up..."He said,"...we need her too."

After they left, a heavy drizzle began as a man walked to the scene, seeing everything that happened in his mind, he lost it.

He yelled as the rain drops froze in the air, then swirled to form a lion like figure, then it roared just like he did and darted in the direction of the platoon of vehicles and splashed into the road, then the water lifted the cars up and somersaulted them by sheer force.

Alex and I screamed as we had no idea what was happening, then we heard drilling noises which scared us as the water in the truck was literally prying the pieces apart.

The water condensed into a hand which fetched me up as I screamed my brother's name and he- mine, then we were separated...
