WE'RE THERE

Curtis was sitting down with Alexa's head resting on his broad chest, with her eyes closed, listening to his steady heartbeat.

Curtis said,"Hey, Alexa wake up."

Alexa's hand started searching all-over for the off switch on the alarm, she was having her moment.

Curtis chuckled as she began poking his long nose then he took her hand and gently bit her fingernail then she opened one eye after the other and asked,"Where is the source of your impetus to awaken me from my peaceful slumber?"

He smiled then said,"My lady, I wished for you to look to your back."

She reluctantly turned then gasped as the sky was riddled with iridescent clouds and the foggy forest, with columns of multicoloured light, streaking from well above the forest canopy.

The Frillers, Seydors, Conmars and other beautiful bird like monsters and actual birds were flying out with their colourful feathers shimmering in the bright lights.

Curtis then asked,"Does my lady wish to return to her slumber?"

"Hey, shhh!"Alexa said without turning.

Curtis laughed as she frantically searched for her phone in her purse till Curtis asked,"Looking for this?"

She saw him standing against a tree with her phone in his hand.

She frowned then said,"Bring it."

He replied,"Bring it."

She charged at him but he vanished into thin air then poked her head from inside the tree, then he literally started walking on the air as she jumped from tree to tree just to get to him.

She spun her purse in her hand then launched it at him then he yelled when it whacked him across the face, right on target.

She caught him between her arms then he blushed and got down, cleared his throat then gave her her phone and said,"Your mobile telephone, my lady."

"Thievery would not be allowed in my kingdom,"Alexa said,"It is a crime and must be punished."

"And what is the penalty for my crime, my lady?"Curtis asked, kissing her hand.

She grinned then said,"Death."

"Wait, what?"He asked.

Curtis yelled as he was thrown over the cliff then flipped to get a hold on the rocks below then smirked at Alexa, who was looking down and calling,"Servant, servant, have you done me the honours of plunging down to your emenent death yet?"

"Yes my lady!"Curtis yelled.

"Good show."Alexa said while clapping and walking away.

She came back as second later and asked,"Wait, what?"

Curtis knocked her down then lifted her into the air with his arms and kissed her on the lips, with the beautiful scenery behind them.

I announced that we all had to move back to the vehicles to continue our journey, but the children weren't done exploring, to their plight, I asked,"You don't plan on exploring this vast land when you can already sense everything, do you?"

Ricky frowned then said,"The Mega Force could be such a drag at times."

The Mega Force was the name given to the sixth sense of Enforcers.

We got into the cars and Lilith was still in, but asleep this time.

I kissed her forehead, then went to my car and my mom took the lead.

We were in the forests of the Oti region when my mom's breathing rate got more tense as she got down then said,"We have to walk from here."

The kids yelled,"Yay!!!"

I made the leaves and fronds of all the plants ahead of us to part and give us a way to pass.

We walked for a few minutes till we got to a river with miracle fruits and an unnamed and very rare duguetia confinis custard apple tree.

Lilith and Jessica of course ate some of the fruits and grew more trees, but we still had to go, with Nicky still on a sour frenzy after eating seven miracle fruits.

Lilith looked to her side to see a Pollia, which was the African fruit with the most reflective surface of any organic substance, being over 30% that of a mirror.

She saw that it was in the shade and was suffering, so she stretched her arm then the trees above bent their branches so sunlight peeped through to the little plant, then she increased its growth.

I yelled for Lilith to keep on, then she kissed the plant goodbye and had to go, already knowing that it missed her.

Apollo was walking with Maame wrapped in his arm then she ate a housefly which had been bothering her for several feet and Apollo laughed, till Jessica started crying, she had sensed its death...

They had to console her by Maame, causing a parade of butterflies to circle the child, and Apollo, imagining a swarm of houseflies to swarm her, which were totally in her command.

We camped out for the night and I was beginning to have my doubts as we had been walking for hours, when we were getting closer to the road on the other side, so, couldn't we have driven there?

But I kept my peace.

I woke up in the middle of the night to see Jessica snuggled between Anneliese and me, I just kissed her forehead and continued sleeping.

By the next morning, we had been walking for about an hour when I went to my mom and asked,"Mom, are you sure we're going the right way? We've been walking in circles."

"Don't worry honey, I know exactly where we're going."She reassured me.

"Are you sure you don't need a little more rest?"Asked Indigo.

She dropped her jaw at him then asked,"How old do you think I am?"

He shrugged then she punched him in the face and said,"You're three whole years older than me!"

I tapped her and said,"Mom, ignore that pea brain, you've aged wonderfully."

"Wait, you also think I'm ageing?"My mom asked with puppy dog eyes.

"What? No!"I said.

Indigo jumped to his feet then walked past us while ' coughing ',"That's what he said."

My mom kicked him in the back and he disappeared into the bushes.

We walked a little while longer, descending into a valley which had me mesmerized as there was such a great biodiversity there, plants, animals, monsters, there were so uncountable different types of everything and everything was in balance.

My mom then said,"We're here."

I was confused, there were no people, only animals and monsters, and there were no ruins either, but Lilith and Jessica walked forward with tears in their eyes, I knew they were the ones having the messages since they were the best psychics among us, any message to them would go far better and more easily than one to any of us.

I was confused as I didn't see a person till Alek also walked forward, he also saw it, saw what?!

Even Curtis looked amazed.

I was super bummed out till I crashed into something, an ordinary tree.

I rolled my eyes then asked,"Guys, what are you seeing?"
