Bright Academy

School for gifted students is an understatement. Bright Academy was a school on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Felix Oppong was one of the over thirty students in the forty square kilometer sized college, for good reason...

RUNNING A FEVATHON

My mom hadn't gotten up from bed yet and she was running a fever, we could let any of my children heal her instantly but the problem was...her.

She didn't know of the number of times we had postponed death on her or how many times we had cured incurable diseases but I wasn't going to let my mother die too, I'd rather go first.

I made her fall into a deep sleep and threw off the movement of the water molecules in the room so no one could detect me, then I closed my eyes and placed my hands on her belly, then white silk like ribbons began to form on my wrists and wrapped around her body as a mist of blue dust evaporated from it.

I began to feel weaker as my soul was literally being transferred to her and fell on one knee, the gem said to me,"Felix, you're putting yourself in great danger, if you continued, you may die."

"The only reason you want me to stop is so you'd still have a living vessel."I grunted.

"Untrue, there are literally trillions of other vessels I could inhabit, good or evil, though I have a much greater connection with you, I'd still exist, and I cannot leave you even in death as you have power over the undead now, you on the other hand, are needed by your family...alive."

I fell on one knee as the ribbons began thinning out but I resisted as they began enlarging again, then pushed more and the gem cautioned me again, till, I blacked out...

My eyes slowly opened and I saw my mom, singing to me while gently rubbing my hair.

I sat up and called her then asked what happened,"I just woke up only to see you lying, unconscious, on the floor, is anything the matter?"

I looked at my arms, then at the gem, everything seemed fine.

I looked at her then said,"Yes, everything is fine but, are you okay?"

"More than okay."She said with a smile.

I kissed her on the cheek then stood up to leave and get her something to eat but stumbled on my way.

She rushed to my side then asked if I was okay, despite my saying yes, she placed me on the bed and said she'd go to get me something instead.

I lay on the bed then the crystal said,"Your soul levels are dangerously low."

"Is there any ay for me to replenish it?"I asked.

"Unless you convince life to cheat for you or take it from someone else, there's no way, till then, you'd be bedridden."

I continued lying down then it asked,"So, who will you take it from?"

"What?! I'm not going to kill anyone like that!"I protested.

"But that is literally your job now, power over the undead means you need to keep your armies growing and the balance of life and death intact."

"Even if I wanted to, which I don't, how do I know who to kill?"

"Just go random, the only person you'd succeed in taking will be the one whose time has come."

I lay to my side, I wasn't going to do something like that to any innocent citizens.

At that moment, my mom walked in with some Kenkey and Groundnut soup, one of my favorite cuisines.

I sat up as she felt my forehead, I wasn't having a fever and nothing seemed wrong, but she knew something was.

Lilith was kicking her shin into a metal rod as it slowly buckled when she sensed my mom say her name, as she moved forward, her clothes immediately changed into a Kente Kaba and slit and all her sweat was gone as she appeared in the room then rushed to my side.

She asked what happened but I couldn't tell her I gave my soul to my mom, even though she needed it, there were other alternatives and I couldn't take it back now.

Lilith also realized my mom was better, but how?

She had been having her malaria for like...four hours and all of a sudden she was better?

She called for Apollo who also came to my side, then caressed my cheek as I smiled, weakly but mockingly.

He looked at Lilith and she gasped silently, I knew they were speaking telepathically but since I couldn't read either their minds, even if I wanted to, which I did at that moment, I was oblivious to their conversation.

Apollo then said,"Don't worry dad, we'll help you get better."

He then left.

Alex kissed Ama's neck as she moaned then licked his sharp jawline, he chuckled as he sat up to remove his shirt, but she roughly pulled him back then whispered,"Don't go, I want you."

"I need you."He said.

He gently kissed her on the lips and skillfully maneuvered over her pretty face till José began crying.

He sat up and Ama was a little disappointed, till Alex snapped his fingers and a feeding bottle appeared and floated over his mouth as he sucked for his life, while snow trickled over him, soon after, the bottle removed and the gas flowed up his throat then he burped slightly and Alex smiled.

He looked back at Ama then continued and she licked his sharp fangs as he gently bit her heart shaped lips, he then lifted her up and pinned her to a wall and continued, she then stopped and said,"I'm pregnant."

"Yeah, I am too."He said before continuing,"Wait, what?"

She smiled at him then said,"Jessica confirmed it, we're getting another son."

Alex took a step back and a glowing tear fell down his cheek as he asked,"Really?"

She nodded then he lifted her up and gave her a million kisses over her face right before picking up José with his free arm and placing his head on his while saying,"You're going to get a little brother, José."

He was over the moon excited then placed Ama down on the bed and asked her,"Ask me for anything, I'll give you literal star dust."

She smiled then said,"All I want is you."

He smirked then said,"I can give you that."

Then he kissed her again...

A wave crashed on the shore but below the waves, Maame swam with her three children who had no idea where they were going.

She sat on some rocks deep beneath the waves then picked up some seaweed and broke it up for the children, then they munched into it like caterpillars.

They then swam around her and she hugged them to her face then saw a boat pass over as her babies swam after it, then her irises constricted...

Indigo placed his hand on his other arm, he felt so different, now, he could smell blood several kilometers away and tell if anyone had leukemia, hypertension or even hypotension.

He could cure blood clots and even control any creature from a great distance, so long as it had blood running through its veins, or sought after blood.

Blood boilers, Vampires, Red hoods and all other blood related monsters felt below him as he could easily peer into and control their seemingly inferior thoughts.

The gem told him every time he got an object from any of the abilities of any of the thirty-one living dragons from someone he bore a strong emotional connection to, he got that ability, powerfully.

He never thought about the ability to control blood alone as a strong one, being so specific, but seeing its abilities now, it was comparable to even water on its own.

He had to find out more.

The gem told me that I had lost much of my soul and if he was able to bring anything of a close attachment to himself to replace mine, he could get the ability to control the undead, but there was one problem, ' close attachment to himself '.

He wasn't killing anyone he loved or anyone else just to get more power, who would do that? Don't answer though.

Indigo wasn't going to hurt anyone, but there were other ways...that he could help me...
