REUNION

In a beach on the shores of Japan, a woman on vacation was sunbathing when she realized the water started going back, too fast to be the falling tide.

She knew exactly what was happening and it was dangerous.

The whole crowd went on a frenzy as people were packing and running away but the woman said to herself,"Where's Johnnie?"

"Johnnie! Johnnie!"She screamed.

She was looking desperately for her missing son while terrified of the Tsunami warning on the radio.

A boy was making a sand castle when he realised the water started going back, then he saw...

"Shells!"He yelled.

He started picking them, shell after the other then dropped them when he saw the massive wave coming his way.

He started breathing heavily till someone side flipped over him and said,"Don't worry, I got this..."

The boy was in his teens and looked African, with bright blue eyes and long wavy hair that fell to his shoulders.

I took a deep breath then shot my arms forward.

A great percentage of the wave began to slow down, but was still moving forward.

Sweat dripped down my cheeks as I held the wall of water back the best I could.

The boy saw me slowly being pushed back till eventually, I lost my balance and was thrown about a meter back and rolled several times before getting back on my knees.

' Okay that didn't work. ' I thought to myself.

The part of the wave that had slowed down immediately accelerated but was still behind the rest of it.

I then looked at the boy and said,"Where're your parents?"

He was too stunned to speak then I used my water vision and sensed a woman, calling for a boy named Johnnie.

"Is your name Johnnie?"I asked, in a hurry.

He nodded then I swiped my arm and a tube of water arranged in the air then I said,"This will lead you to your mom, go, go!"

He started running.

I sensed that he stopped running but I didn't have the time to take him to his mom, I had to concentrate.

I then started spinning my arms then a huge volume of water was blasted at the wave.

It went and hit the water, but did nothing.

I then got an idea.

I hydroteleported some of the water from the wave a little in front of it which rose to make a wall then froze into ice I h.

The wave broke through it then I made another wall, this time of ice VII.

The wave crashed into it and poured down, making the water move even faster...

I just made it worse.

I couldn't lose these people, they were depending on me. I then heard crying and looked back at Johnnie as he wiped the tears on his face.

Johnnie looked through his blurry eyes to see me, presenting a colourful shell to him.

He looked at my face then I said,"Don't worry, I won't let anyone get hurt."

Then I turned back.

I took a deep breath then made a huge wall of ice which the water broke down.

I made another, and another and kept making them behind each other and slowing down the water till it was eventually dammed back by another wall of ice VII.

I dropped to my knees, drenched in sweat.

Then made a sigh of relief.

I stood up again and stretched my arms out and gradually separated them, making the ice wall gradually melt, letting the water pour back, slowly.

The boy ran forward to the calmer waves and held my hand.

I held his too and he smiled at me then tilted his head and asked,"What are those lines on your neck?"

I looked at him then said,"Oh, those? They help me breathe underwater."

He widened his eyes and yelled,"You can breathe underwater?!"

I couldn't help bluffing, so said,"Oh yeah, it's really cool, I can control water, and ice, wind, plants, sound and even zap out lightning!"

As if he hadn't done it, his eyes grew even wider then he said,"Awesome! Can I be you when I grow up?!"

"Uuuh, that's not actually how it works but okay."I said.

I said that because I realized he had silvery copper eyes, somehow like Jason's, it was possible he was born with a light and all he needed was to activate it.

I took him to his mother who was over the moon to see him, right before yelling at him.

I also realized she had deep green eyes, he did have a light, I smiled to myself thinking this.

My third mission was a success and the principal was, as usual, all praises.

I went to the gymnasium in a t-shirt and a track suit to practice.

After a while I took of my shirt to cool of then heard giggling.

I felt shy and slowly looked back to see...

"Anneliese?"I said.

She giggled again then said,"Hello cutie, it's been a while."

I couldn't believe my eyes. I had sensed her training, but I thought it was just someone who looked like her, but it wasn't.

She looked so beautiful now, I could hardly recognise her.

She walked closer to me then placed her hand on my chest and said,"You're so much more muscular now."

I knew I was too dark to blush...but my stomach wasn't. There were also butterflies everywhere then I stuttered,"Y- you have a light?"

She nodded and said,"I control rocks, I found out two years ago."

And I had never met her.

I was immobilised as I stared at her face.

She smiled when she saw how flustered I was then she said,"You can put your shirt back on now, I'll never forget how you look."

"O...oh! Right, I forgot."I said.

I wore my shirt and looked at her.

I was still hot, but I caused my sweat to evaporate and take some of the heat on my body with it, that made me feel a lot cooler, literally and figuratively.

I sat down with her then we started talking. She was on level 1.02, which was actually high for an average enlightened person.

I didn't want to tell her how high my level was, to make her feel bad, but she already knew.

"I can't believe you're on level 3.39. That's amazing! No one your age has ever been at that level."She said.

"No one?"I asked.

I already knew but, hearing it from her made it sound a lot better.

We found ourselves going to the beach together to watch the sunset with the breeze in our hair.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and looked to see her resting on me, we were so close together and that made the butterflies make me feel like puking.

Her eyes were closed and she looked so tender like that.

I brushed away some hair from her face then took one long look at her; her dark brown skin, her beautiful black hair, and when she opened her eyes, they were a beautiful mixture of hazel, with brown on the innermost center.

I had never realised her eyes looked so beautiful before.

She immediately sat up when she realized she was resting on me and I also straightened up, embarrassed for liking it.

She then shyly said,"Thank you."

"What?"I asked.

"Thank you for what you did at the dam, you risked your life for me and clearly got rewarded and then even protected the person who put your life in danger."

I smiled then said,"Well I also have him to thank for something, if it weren't for him, I never would have discovered my light."

"Neither will I..."She said.

"Wait, what?"I said, getting concerned.

She waved her hands and said,"No, he didn't put me in danger, he rather saved me from it. We went for a field trip to the Shai Hills but I missed my step and fell into a cave. I lost consciousness and yet there my light was awaken. By the time I woke up, I was in his arms and he was carrying me back to the bus."

I didn't know why but I felt that boiling anger again that I felt so many years ago and yelled,"He did what?!"

Suddenly, a huge wave crashed on the shore and she said,"Don't worry, nothing happened between us."

I calmed down then she asked,"But why did you get so angry? Were you... jealous?"

I quickly said no and turned away, my cheeks burning. Then I looked back at her confused face then said,"Yes, I was jealous."

She smiled and asked,"Why?"

Already knowing the answer.

I said,"Because, I like you."

"And I like you too..."

A huge wave crashed on the shore and several rocks pierced out of the sand as we kissed...
