Bright Academy

School for gifted students is an understatement. Bright Academy was a school on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Felix Oppong was one of the over thirty students in the forty square kilometer sized college, for good reason...

ONCE IN A SEA BLUE MOON

The hail stone just shattered above my head without me moving a muscle and the tornado went right over my head, spreading harmlessly over me as the ice shards from the hail around me formed a sphere and protected me, then I looked to the other two, I had to find a way to change them back.

I hydroteleported out right before it was crushed by a large current of low air pressure and as I was near the unconscious creatures, black smoke started flowing through my nose and mouth and choking me.

I tried to push it away or do... something, but it was no use, and I couldn't think either because of how confused I was, then a strong wind blew all the smoke away and out of my lungs and I looked back to see my brother.

Alex asked if I was okay and I replied in the affirmative, but asked him if he could handle the storm while I returned the other two to their original forms and homes and he agreed.

I hydroteleported with the two away then a strong drill like wind was blown at him but he blocked it with an even stronger one which tore through the first and went towards the eyes which just vanished, that was really annoying.

I opened the portal for the man and Andalak, as the second was called to go home, of course I had to change the exit points of the portal in time and space though.

But at that moment, I fell on my knees and struggled as the people asked if I was alright, then I opened widely my bloodshot eyes as the remnants of the gas made it to my brain, then I stopped fighting it when it had total control.

Alex had come closer to see and sense better if anything was wrong then the cloud telepathically sent a message to me and I looked at the people, I was about to turn the people back into ' wizards ' when they vanished and Alex said,"Felix, this isn't you."

I grinned as I said,"But it will be enough to kill you."

I hydroteleported right in front of him and with my strengthened arm and fist, gave him a punch in the belly then an uppercut, sending him flying through the air.

He fell as I walked closer with a sword in my hand then he said,"Felix please, I don't want to hurt you."

"I wish I could say the same."

I thrusted the sword at his head but he vanished.

I sensed him in the Space between spaces and swiped my arm and he materialised and was thrown through the air where he was hit by a bolt of lightning.

Alex was on the charred ground as smoke rose from his body, then he looked at me and grinned, the wizard asked through me,"Stop smiling, for defying me, your death will be slow and painful."

"Oh, it's not that..."He coughed,"... it's just that the most powerful telepath in the world is right behind you."

I looked back then heard a clicking sound right before everything went black and I fell backwards, floating above the ground as black smoke flowed out of my nostrils, then a tornado formed beneath the cloud like wizard as it was sucked into a sizeable sphere, then Lilith snapped her fingers and there was a pop, right before an Orc(uncontrolled or whatsoever) fell out, unconscious.

Lilith turned back as Alex looked at my face, calling me but I didn't wake up.

He looked at Lilith, then she nodded and he slapped me across the face.

Lilith then yelled,"Why the heck did you slap my dad?!"

"You nodded!"He yelled back.

"I thought you meant I should call for help!"She yelled again.

My nose twitched and Lilith looked and frowned at the smug look on Alex's face then sighed and said,"Do what you must."

He threw his palm at my face but I caught it and slapped him, throwing him away.

I woke up then yelled,"Why the heck did you slap your brother?!"

All he did was groan in pain then I glared at Lilith then she said,"He did it so suddenly."

"And the world's most powerful telepath couldn't think to use your light to revive me?"I asked.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures."She shrugged.

I stood up then kicked Alex at the side for him to get up and walked away, teleporting the Orc back to its home on my way.

Apollo looked at his three children, who were sound asleep at the bottom of a tank of water, then a squeak came right before one of the Squeakies jumped over the table and knocked over the glass but it stopped in midair and floated back to the table, with duct tape holding it secure this time, then Apollo groaned, he knew he was willing to wait for them to grow but...how long can three decades last?

He also didn't want to cheat using his light, so decided to wait...for the remaining twenty eight years.

A woman was just singing a lullaby to her baby when a portal immediately opened and a spider crawled out, right before the floorboards lifted and wrapped around it like rubber and it was thrown out of the window.

The woman looked at her husband, who had his arm outstretched then asked,"Since when did you have a light?"

"For a while now."He shrugged.

"Hank, I've known you for eighteen years and the only sign of you having alight is you eating five pounds of jalapeno peppers and beans and holding it in for three hours."

He blushed then mumbled something and she asked for clarification then he said,"The Oppong family is giving people lights to take care of themselves better."

She dropped her jaw then he asked if she was okay but she said,"Imma gonna get me some."

Then walked away...

"So which light will you like?"Indigo asked.

"I'll love to fly!"The boy yelled.

"Okay..."

"Wait, no, super strength all the way."He said.

Indigo was about to give him the light when the boy changed his mind, yet again, to say,"Come to think of it, super speed will rock!"

Indigo was ambivalent as the boy's genetic signature was slightly changed and his irises turned silver then the boy asked him,"Which light did you give me?"

"The ability to control energy."He said.

"Really?! That's what I've always wanted! Yo mom! No more electricity bills! Energy rocks!"

Indigo sighed as the next in line came forward.

Maame slumped on the couch and let out a sigh of relief, saying,"Giving ten million people lights is so hard."

"Talking to three million people about giving them lights is hard."Indigo replied.

Maame looked at her husband as he walked in then went to kiss him on the lips, but had realized something was wrong.

"Oh, it's nothing."He said.

She cupped his cheek and asked,"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm positive."

"Because you're free to make the children older if you want to."She said.

"What?"He asked.

She just smiled at him, kissed him gently on the lips and walked away.
