MINA'S OUTBURST

"What?"My dad asked.

"I want a divorce."My mom said.

I looked at her, horrified, then asked,"Mom, why?"

She said,"Because nothing good has ever come out of this marriage."

"Not even Alex and me?"I asked, desperate.

"Of course, you two were the best things that ever happened to me, but Alex is dead, because of..."She began.

"Me! All of this happened because I was too stubborn and proud to listen to advice. Dad warned me, Anneliese warned me, but I never listened to them."I said, crying again,"And I wish I could turn back time, so we could start again.

My mom was stunned. I then said,"Please, don't blame him anymore for something he didn't do, blame the person responsible. If you really love me, you will listen to me and try to make this marriage work, please."

She turned her gaze from me to her husband, who hadn't said anything for a while.

She began to cry then he gently hugged her, but she didn't resist. She just wanted her son back, her husband back, her family back.

The moment I was discharged, I looked for Mina, to end things.

I knew I had just stopped my mom from separating from my dad, but I had to separate myself from her, it wasn't right for me to hold her back when I had no feelings for her.

I was able to meet her in her house back in Japan.

Her parents were glad to meet me, but I had to let the cat out of the bag...

They invited myself and my parents to dinner then asked why we had come impromptu, then I answered,"I just wanted to speak with Mina, alone."

They gave us her room and as much time and privacy as we would have needed.

I locked the door and Mina asked,"So what did you want to talk a..."

Before she could finish, I kissed her.

She closed her eyes then kissed me back, our first kiss.

When we pulled back, I said,"Mina, you are a very beautiful and amazing girl..."

"Why are you saying this?"She asked, confused.

"...I'm breaking up with you."I said.

"What?"

"I'm sorry, but I only decided to date you so I could get over someone else, but I don't want to use you like that, you deserve someone better than me."

She burst into tears then said,"Please tell me you're joking."

"I'm sorry Mina, but no."

A flash of blue shone in her eyes at that moment.

' What have I done? ' I asked myself...

My dad was drinking some tea when he sensed something strange. A huge burst, but it wasn't blue, it didn't contain any water, it was orange.

' Oh no... '

I made a wall of ice I c to block the spherical explosion of water that came from her.

Half of the ice disappeared in that same warping but I looked at her as she wept, with blasts of anti water shooting everywhere.

I dodged as many blasts as I could to get closer to her but one was too fast for me...

The arched current of anti water was a second from annihilating the water in me into a burst of deadly gamma radiation when a blast of water blocked it.

I felt that fuzzy feeling again and knew I was leveling up, but that wasn't what I cared about, I had to stop her from killing herself.

A blast of anti water was shot at me then my dad appeared in front of me and stretched his arm then it sprayed around, without a drop touching me, but he was soaking wet...

"Dad!"I yelled.

"Don't worry son."He winked,"I'm okay."

That was the first time I had ever seen him smile, but it was so warm, so comforting, but I had to brush that off. He was in terrible danger.

"But you're covered in anti water."I said.

"It's normal water."He said, blocking another blast and getting even more wet.

"But how? She only controls anti water."I said.

"I figured if she could change normal water into anti water, I could do the opposite, and it worked."

I frowned at him then asked,"How could you be so reckless?"

He chuckled then said,"I'm sorry honey, I won't do it again."

I couldn't stop myself from laughing at his sarcasm, but then asked,"Speaking about honey, where's mom? The gamma radiation is dangerous for her!"

"Don't worry, I hydroteleported her and Mina's parents to safety, besides, we are acting as magnets for the gamma radiation."

Just then, half of the building crumbled down and we saw a crowd gathering, she might accidentally hurt them.

I looked at my dad and he already seemed to understand as he said,"You take care of her, I'll take care of the crowd."

Then he vanished and water poured.

I looked at her, bounced on the balls of my feet and shook my head.

' Let's do this... ' I thought.

I sped up myself and ran towards her then dive twirled between two currents of water then landed with a front handspring.

Anti water was blasted at me and she screamed louder.

I crossed my arms and hoped it would have worked.

The anti water pressure greatly reduced, but it still splashed on me, yet I didn't die.

She was probably able to stay conscious for all this time because she leveled up with me on our first encounter.

I cheered silently then ran horizontally on the wall and jumped off with a barani flip then fell through the spinning anti water currents and landed right next to her.

I held her and she screamed for me to let go.

I said,"No I won't, not until you assure me that you'll move on, please."

"I don't want to move on, because I don't want anyone other than you."

"But you need someone other than me, you deserve someone better."

She looked at me, with her eyes dimming then we hugged.
